I've got footless tights on. Do I look like a great big piece of mutton?

CountessDracula · 17/08/2006 12:00

Joolstoo · 17/08/2006 12:01

are you bending and stretching

you MAY look like the Green Goddess .....

ScummyMummy · 17/08/2006 12:01

I'm sure you look fine. Aren't you in your 20s?

MerlinsBeard · 17/08/2006 12:02

are you auditioning for fame? :-P

FrannyandZooey · 17/08/2006 12:04

I used to wear footless tights.

W/pointe shoes.

For ballet class.

wheelsonthebus · 17/08/2006 12:05

no - you look totally in fashion a la kate moss. footless tights are back.

CountessDracula · 17/08/2006 12:05

what are you wearing over them

tbh I think they look silly unless for ballet/exercise.

MerlinsBeard · 17/08/2006 12:07

have to say i hate them too and i AM in my 20's! but then, i was a dancer so they are for dance in my eyes!

MrsJohnCusack · 17/08/2006 12:07

are footless tights not just thin leggings?

ScummyMummy · 17/08/2006 12:08

Sorry! Always think of you as a youngling. Well. I am sure you look fine, nonetheless. Why shouldn't mutton wear footless tights, anyway?

CountessDracula · 17/08/2006 12:09

true

take it a step further and get leapord skin ones

MrsBadger · 17/08/2006 12:11

I read the thread title and my immediate thoughts were (in this order):

bet it's Franny
hope she's wearing them with that zebra-print dress
ooh I wish I had the guts and/or legs to wear footless tights

ScummyMummy · 17/08/2006 12:11

lol cd

MrsJohnCusack · 17/08/2006 12:13

I don't suppose Franny looks like mutton though. I gather she has the figure for such garments

(my legs would look like a couple of zeppelins in condoms)

FrannyandZooey · 17/08/2006 12:15

Ah Mrs B they would look terrible on me with that dress, the big waist / skinny legs effect would be heightened

I am wearing a sort of hippyish sundress and a little cardi

and probably ballet flats when I go out

tbh, I think I probably DO look like a big piece of mutton, but I have spent about 2 years admiring all the young things round here wearing them and it was now or never

MrsBadger · 17/08/2006 12:51

big waist, thin legs and footless tights
prob right re the zebra one though...

FrannyandZooey · 17/08/2006 12:53

She looks great - she is not the same shape as me, though

I just CATted you actually Mrs B, I have a photo of the dress and thought you might like to see it?

OP posts:
Thomcat · 17/08/2006 12:55

I reckon you look fine tbh.
But then I've got a pair of little black leggings that stop above my ankle that I wear under a short denim skirt. I think I look ok but don't wear that particular outfit to work or anything. Not massively sure I'm not too old to wear it (35 yrs).
But having heard what you're wearing and thinking you probably look good I feel more confident about my leggings/skirt now.

FrannyandZooey · 17/08/2006 12:58

Thomcat I reckon the issue is not so much do we look good, as do we think we look good

OP posts:
MrsBadger · 17/08/2006 13:00

ooh, CAT, how exciting - will check mail...

WelshBoris · 17/08/2006 13:06

Personally I cant stand them but only because a silly bint who lives near me wears them

Is the leopard print dress the one new in New Look this week? Because if it is Im wearing out tomorrow on my friends hen night
With black wedges

Thomcat · 17/08/2006 13:14

LOL, ummmm, tbh, the image in my head of me doesn't always match the one I actually see in the mirror!

Thomcat · 17/08/2006 13:14

I look the dogs kahooners!
