I'm 40 and yet to find one that doesn't give me panda eyes by 11am. Have tried EL, clinique so not just cheap ones. it could be that I'm just poor at applying it.

Don't like the heavy look - just a bit of under eye definition.

Help, determined to find 'the one'!

Thanks!! Smile Smile

Maybe try an eyelid primer like that Urban Decay Potion? It stops my favourite kohl smudging onto my brow bone. I guess it would work below my lashes too.

CookieDoughKid · 18/01/2014 21:40

Definitely use eye primer! I use urban decay but benefit and MAC do great ones too. I use cheap no.7 eye liner but with primer, it lasts for hours!!

GinghamChic · 18/01/2014 21:50

oooh, never even knew such a thing existed! Thanks Shock

I second Avon Glimmersticks....about £6 when not on offer, but usually some deal on! Really excellent, don't budge all day...... :)

Ah great, hope you love them! I haven't used anything else for about five years now....I'm not a massive fan of much from Avon but I do love a Glimmerstick! :)

RevoltingPeasant · 18/01/2014 23:45

Hmmm OP what foundation do you use?

I ask because I changed my BB cream recently. I hadn't found the old one greasy at all, and I figured my eye make up smudges were unrelated. But when I switched BB creams I found the problem virtually went. Is that a possibility?

And I like Smashbox :)

citruslemon · 18/01/2014 23:48

I bought a Bobbi Brown Long Wear Eye Pencil the other day. It does move a bit, though nothing like some others. However, it irritates my eyes so much that I have stopped using it.

Mrswellyboot · 19/01/2014 00:07

I've just bought Avon glimmerstick :) hope it's good. Always use eyeliner.

niceupthedance · 19/01/2014 08:19

Another vote for urban decay and also bb gel eyeliner.

PoshPaula · 19/01/2014 08:29

I've just spent £39 on the Bobbi Brown gel eyeliner and brush thanks to these recommendations - and I haven't got out of bed yet. Bloody Mumsnet, it's costing me a fortune! (It looks like SUCH a nice product though!)...

ElBombero · 19/01/2014 09:32

You'll love it posh and will last you at least a year so not bad in the grand scheme?? Wink We have to justify these things x

MrsDavidBowie · 19/01/2014 09:33

Hourglass do a gel eyeliner which doesn't move.

Elliptic5 · 19/01/2014 09:41

I had a bad reaction to the Urban Decay eye primer, streaming red sore eyes, have swopped to the Bare Minerals one and it's fine.

Bobbi brown pot eyeliner is amazing but be very careful to replace the of properly or it dries out in no time

Avon glimmer sticks are a good budget alternative. I also love the soap and glory felt pen eyeliner, amazing staying power

MrsMeow · 19/01/2014 10:09

I've spent £££ on eyeliners and always go back to Collection 2000 basic pencil eyeliner, it's only about £2. I've used it for years!
