'Boyfriend' Jeans ...

There was an article in last Saturday's Times magazine re Boyfriend Jeans ... has anyone seen them, tried them on, got them? Good buy for a flabby tum or bad buy?

I like the style, have to watch how baggy they are in the leg though as I'm only 5ft. Which brands were they talking about? Not sure the ones I've got are 'boyfriend' jeans as such but they're a great fit - they're Mooch from Topshop.

Found them paddingtonbear. Only tried Diesel but nice shape etc and comfortable. Didn't buy but will save my pennies!!

i couldn't get them in a colour i liked in gap yesterday (most of gap's jeans seem to be ultra-low rise at the moment, NOT good). however, i did get a pair of really nice men's slim-cut jeans, which i take it is true to the boyfriend principle?
and the good thing is that they really do good things on my tum.

FrannyandZooey · 02/08/2006 12:56

I love them, they are one of the few styles of jeans that look good on me. I got a pair in the spring and am desperately waiting for the weather to cool down so I can wear them again. I wear them with ballet pumps or baseball shoes or flip flops, whatever, really.

ocd · 02/08/2006 17:27

I got these from Next. They jsut arrived and I LOVE them!! They are described as slouch, but they deffo look boyfriend style on, and they are so comfy. I wearign them now with flipflops and tshirt.

ocd · 03/08/2006 10:59

oh they are nice
a dn shewearetht hem wiht ballet shoes

Kelly1978 · 03/08/2006 11:15

I tried ballet pumps with them and they didn't look right. They have a slightly dirty denim look in rl. I've tried the black ones with dark silvery coloured balelt pumps and that does work.

FrannyandZooey · 03/08/2006 12:04

I am wearing mine today with my teal ballet pumps (as approved by MrsBadger TM)

paddingtonbear1 · 03/08/2006 12:10

I also have the Next ones, they are a fab fit and nice colour too!

FrannyandZooey · 03/08/2006 12:13

Oh you can get the Mooch ones on eBay for about £15 plus postage, as well. Check your size in TopShop then order on eBay

ocd · 03/08/2006 13:34

FrannyandZooey · 03/08/2006 13:39

Ok they are in Topshop - shop by - flat shoes - up the top just after half way along, patent ballet shoes £25. They are a much nicer colour in real life and have matching beads as well.
