Do you...

  • love fashion (high and low end), style, beauty?
  • spend way more time than is healthy for anyone thinking about the contents of your wardrobe?
  • wish you had the nerve to apply for Mastermind with your specialist subject being the history of H&M collaborations?

If so come and chat! Hugs and kisses allowed

I tried on a pair of Frame skinnies and I don't even know if they would have fit my thighs as it was such a struggle to get them over my feet I gave up!

LinusDKD · 20/01/2014 18:44

umlauf DS stepped on my ipad (in a protective case and DS really isn't heavy) last year and the screen was shattered.

We enquired about having it repaired but the quotes were silly so DH ordered a replacement screen from Amazon and watched a Youtube tutorial on how to replace it.

It is a bit tricky and takes some time but ipad works again. I think the replacement screen was gbp 30 so a lot cheaper than having it repaired.

shopafrolic · 20/01/2014 18:44

OMG!! DH has only found me the Madewell skimmers! Woooooooooopppp!
Wang and MK dress are hung up - not loving the fabrics but will try tomorrow.

LinusDKD · 20/01/2014 18:48

shop you tease! Why not try them on tonight?

Good news about the flats!

BecauseIsaidS0 · 20/01/2014 19:02

Hello ladies, my super cheap shopping for Bali arrived today, and here is the veredict:

This playsuit, even though I loved the print, was awful. Waist so high the inleg was practically raping me (and I'm VERY petite!), cheap nasty fabric.

This dress worked. Simple, cute.

This tunic is a bit too loose on me, but I decided to keep it because it can make for a nice beach cover up, or I can wear it for the temples where you have to cover your arms (I've got a pair of nice grey leggings to wear underneath).

So not too bad, two out of three,

Annianni · 20/01/2014 19:07

Shop just try the bloody dresses on...

Fab news on the shoes though

I thought about keeping them Santa but I'm a stone heavier than I was last summer and (hopefully) my manic bike riding will get rid of it before this Summer.

I need some jeans I can wear now really.
I'm living in my Hudson Mays and Gias and I would like something a bit looser fitting.

Matches have some nice Frame le garcon (the boyfriend style, in the sale) but they've sold out of 32's.

If anyone sees any please let me know.

MarshaBrady · 20/01/2014 19:09

Shop Envy. Loved them long time! Can you take photos and pin so I can get over it and admire from afar Grin

Good shopping Because. Great for Bali.

shopafrolic · 20/01/2014 19:14

Marsha if they don't fit me I'm offering you first refusal anyway!
Not trying dresses tonight as am having a girlfriend round for drinks and chat and want to compare all 4 together.......

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 20/01/2014 19:21

Because nice dresses, love print stuff for beach holidays.

Anni shopbop have got some le garcons in what looks like a slightly darker wash in all sizes, here, but they're slightly more £ than the ones on matches.

Does anyone rate american vintage t shirts?

Annianni · 20/01/2014 19:28

I like them Blair but they're £158 ish with tax.
I'd rather get some a bit cheaper.

especially because I've ordered alsorts today

shopafrolic · 20/01/2014 19:44

I like AV tees Blair but I wash them carefully. Non bio liquid and in a laundry bag on a gentle cycle.

LinusDKD · 20/01/2014 19:47

I like them too Blair and mine have washed well but I believe others weren't happy with the quality.

MarshaBrady · 20/01/2014 19:56

I love the colour of AV (the sunshine yellow I got from Liberty one is AV) and the feel of them. But they are fine / thinnish material.

Shop that would be fab!

BrandyAlexander · 20/01/2014 20:32

Coooeeee Shooop, Sleeeep! Both of you laughed before when I said that at heart I am a high street girl.Grin I offer up as evidence today's outfit....

Me&Em dress for £39 (does that count?), black Zara jacket and John Lewis coat. Oh, plus a bobble hat I got from Amazon. Jewelry simple silver and garnet ring.

Grin

ahem. ignore Valentino shoes and Proenza Schouler bag plus fact I actually forgot to put earrings, watch and bracelet in gym bag Wink

I have to say I love the Me&Em dresses so much. Thanks to Amber!

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 20/01/2014 20:37

Thanks all. Will keep it as a maybe for now then.

Anni I though it might be a bit much with the taxes but worth a try. Hopefully there will be a code for shopbop sometime.

Lol novice :) agree me&em dresses are amazing but I think they have stopped making my favourite style now - the cap sleeve ruched dress :(

libertychick · 20/01/2014 20:53

Quick wave - it's that TOM - am shattered and have nothing to offer in style terms - I did well to get dressed today Grin.

Oh and the DVF bag arrived - too tired to examine it properly but I think it's a keeper.

Drywhiteplease · 20/01/2014 20:54

Please tell me novice that you forgot your bling at HOME!!!!Shock

Drywhiteplease · 20/01/2014 20:55

Oh Liberty you must look at your bag. Hope you feel better soon.x

BrandyAlexander · 20/01/2014 20:58

Oh yes, at HOME! I ought to be offended Dry but have left my engagement ring at the gym twice before. Dh says as I am a total eejit if he catches me taking it off again, he will kill me no questions askedGrin

BrandyAlexander · 20/01/2014 21:01

Liberty you poor thing. I feel v sorry for those of you who really suffer from pmt. when I started exercising my periods hurt a hell of a lot less but I moved to a 28 day cycle from 35 day cycle. Sad They last a week and I have to use the Always night time pads for first 5 days as it's so heavy. That's still nothing compared to some of you though.

libertychick · 20/01/2014 21:25

My periods aren't that heavy Novice (poor you) I just get really tired in the run up. It was so bad this weekend I actually did a preg test (negative) as I was sure something else must be going on - I actually got really excited at the thought but alas it was not to be.

Apols to all for not commenting on links etc - zero energy. Normal service will resume soon Smile

Grumpy I finally collected the Whistles skirt from Waitrose and I agree it is a thing of beauty but unfortunately too short for me. A good 3 inches or so above the knee and I don't have the legs for that - well I can just about do it with opaques and heels but I want it for everyday wear and I'm not a heels girl.

Sleepwhenidie · 20/01/2014 21:28

Dry! Isn't your DD a 1D fan? You might want to show her this....SO funny (DD may not agree, suspect DS will though!)

AmberNectarine · 20/01/2014 21:31

Am very stylishly clad in black and neon pink running gear - have just got back from a run.

novice you have inspired me to wear one of my Me&Ems tomorrow. Blair I think the capped sleeve will be back for summer - they did a long sleeve version for A/W which novice and I bought.

Liked my outfit today -pale grey Zoe K hoodie over darker grey Helmut Lang curved hem tee, beloved mid wash Virtuals and grey glitter Choo high tops. Not thrilling but it works for me!

Drywhiteplease · 20/01/2014 22:03

Oh my god Sleep she just said good night....got her put of bed to watch it....we were both laughing so much we were cryingGrin.....so so funny! absolutely brilliant!!!!!!

Wearing a neon yellow vest top over dark grey cropped bra top, grey cycling shorts, purple nike trainers, an amazing tan and huge diamond engagement ring...bloody was you!!!!!Grin same hair and everything! gorgeous !

Sleepwhenidie · 20/01/2014 22:25
