Do you...

  • love fashion (high and low end), style, beauty?
  • spend way more time than is healthy for anyone thinking about the contents of your wardrobe?
  • wish you had the nerve to apply for Mastermind with your specialist subject being the history of H&M collaborations?

If so come and chat! Hugs and kisses allowed

I saw them in Selfridges and was so smitten I took a pic!

shopafrolic · 19/01/2014 23:24

I thought so Sleep - either that or you have one amazing shoe display cabinet! :)

Sleepwhenidie · 19/01/2014 23:28

DH's face would have been...interesting if I'd come home with those AND the rockstuds Shock! D-I-V-O-R-C-E !

LinusDKD · 20/01/2014 07:38

Morning!

Hope the move goes well novice! Exciting and stressful at the same time!

I forgot to mention that I read Tamara Mellon's autobiography recently. Very interesting to read how difficult it is to set up your own luxury business and try and find a balance between creativity and profit.

Wearing my grey Leigh TS skinnies today with a cobalt cashmere cardigan all buttoned up and a matching snood so it looks like a jumper.

And my trusty bikers. They were expensive but I have worn them so much that cpw will be reasonable.

Drywhiteplease · 20/01/2014 08:03

The turtle Shop ! His name is going to bug me all day....Crusher? Yes he's cool you should teach DS "totally radical" would be funny for your DH to hear his little boy saying that on his return!!!

DH has man flu......it's going to be a long week. And DS is 15 today Shock I can't believe it and I'm only 27 not!!!Wink Took a load go karting and f and chips on Saturday . 4 15yr olds in my car( DH had the other half)....they're the size of men! And boy, they ate like lions....the fish was hanging off the plate it was so huge.....not a crumb left Shock
Birthday season over until next winter phew!

Black flip pay dress, red cardigan, leopard flats and belt.

shopafrolic · 20/01/2014 08:18

Morning all! Who's got teeny tiny tiny feet? (Lurkers included). lovely boots and very comfy.

Annianni · 20/01/2014 08:22

Nearly Dry, it's Crush.

I know people are avoiding Brand Alley, but there's a Sam Edelman clearance... I've ordered some blue Felicias (fab comfy ballet flats) for £25 and some snake Millies/millys for £39 (wanted these for ages)

I've paid by PayPal for safety, and delivery is 3 to 5 days for these.

Carrie ordered from them recently and they arrived quickly.

There's some gorgeous cheap boots, including pettys Marsha.

shopafrolic · 20/01/2014 08:24

And these might have just fallen into my shopping bag.
I've worn these ones to death.

Annianni · 20/01/2014 08:36

Happy belated

Annianni · 20/01/2014 08:36

Annianni · 20/01/2014 08:58

Happy belated birthday to m

MarshaBrady · 20/01/2014 09:18

Good news on Brand Alley. It would be great if it is up and running properly again, they have good discounts.

Anni they sound really nice, thanks for heads up on pettys. I had a look this morning and they were all sold out. Not sure at what point some were there.

Shop great discount on those Hudsons. Well spotted.

Sleep the blue boots are great, who are they by?

Linus I can only imagine how much £ you have to pump into something to get the public to see it as a luxury brand.

RubyLovesShopping · 20/01/2014 09:44

Anni I have had a few pairs of SE Felicia s they're so comfy. Off to have a look.

Annianni · 20/01/2014 09:45

So...

I've downloaded the app as my phone seems to hate mumsnet in the mornings... and it's weird... I don't like it!!!!

Happy belated birthdays to mini Linus and mini Justa Cake

If I post some hall and stairs photos later, does anyone fancy giving an opinion?

We have a few options, but not sure about one of dh's suggestions Grin

Marsha I pinned something for you last night.

And was it Santa who asked about my Marant boots?

I ebayed my Jennys, during the ebay/h&m madness and got my money back phew

I did love them, but I think they look better on a slimmer leg

Annianni · 20/01/2014 09:46

I was tempted by the orange Ruby, but thought the blue was more sensible Grin

I have them in fuchsia snake and turquoise snake.

Annianni · 20/01/2014 09:47

Did you try any premium denim last week Ruby?

MarshaBrady · 20/01/2014 09:57

Thanks Anni will have a look.

RubyLovesShopping · 20/01/2014 09:59

Anni I have them in fuschia snake too! A shoeaholics bargain. Also have them in rose gold from a few years ago, the snake ones got wet and have awful watermarks.
Yes post pics I love the house style questions as much as the fashion.
I did not make it into the shop you mentioned as we got sidetracked into a lovely place and drank too much wine and felt yuck all Saturday but had a great time!

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 20/01/2014 10:10

Morning!

Nothing is calling to me in the SE sale, but I do want some leather ballet flats if anyone sees any that meet the following impossible criteria: size 5, plain leather, must be elasticated not slip ons, no embellishment (bows, studs, etc) - basically the Lanvin ones but preferably under £100.

Saw these patchwork jeans yesterday - in case anyone finds the Gap ones don't work for them. Must be a thing!

Nice backpack on the outnet.

Annianni · 20/01/2014 10:14

Blair I saw some lovely Sam E ones on Shopbop last night in navy for £60 ish, they also had black and nude (i think)

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 20/01/2014 10:24

Thanks Anni! Will check them out now. :)

LinusDKD · 20/01/2014 10:28

My DvF dress is here and it is gorgeous! And, more importantly, the US size 8 fits! Wink

Spanx will have to be worn to hide the mummy tummy but it looks lovely on.

I have a few DvF dresses but I didn't have one of her classic wrap dresses and they really drape and fall a lot better than other wrap dresses I own.

Happy Birthday DryJr! It is hard to imagine DS will one day be a teenage boy who eats his weight in food every day as he is a super small eater at the moment.

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 20/01/2014 10:29

Found them - they are almost perfect but I think would just fall off my feet (I think I must have very narrow heels or else just walk oddly, as I walk out of all slip on shoes). Need them to be elastic all the way round so they are literally banana shaped. :) thanks though!

shopafrolic · 20/01/2014 10:46

Happy Birthday RugbyDry
