Do you...

  • love fashion (high and low end), style, beauty?
  • spend way more time than is healthy for anyone thinking about the contents of your wardrobe?
  • wish you had the nerve to apply for Mastermind with your specialist subject being the history of H&M collaborations?

If so come and chat! Hugs and kisses allowed

Goodnight all, good morning for me Smile

shop sorry the dress didn't work out, some great ones on pin though. Flannels had some lovely Joseph dresses with huge savings, but I just couldn't them to fit me Sad in the end I got an Elizabeth and James dress which is more dressy and the James Perse. Hope you find your perfect black dress too!

novice 25k for a Dubai holiday? Sounds about right Grin which hotel if I can help let me know. As an ex resident I have some contacts in the hospitality industry who know how to get reduced rates.

Sleepwhenidie · 18/01/2014 01:03

So I've been out drinking with mates (belated birthday thing)..come home, it's late, I'm on my own in bed with my iPad. Inevitably I've wandered into websites I really shouldn't hand around on Blush. Anyone want to google Gianvitto Rossi, go to Polyvore page and share my shame.....pure shoe porn

foxysocks · 18/01/2014 01:53

morning!

because yes I am! now paranoid i might know you.

love the dress, fashion and nights out chat. chai after lunch is about as rock and roll as I am getting right now. on the plus side, an alcohol free jan is proving no problem whatsoever

am still in bed with a steaming hot coffee watching the world wake up through my window. have been wearing the hush longline vests I got in their presage round the apt - i absolutely LOVE them, they are so much better than the H&M version. highly recommend.

have also been perusing dresses and building a SSwishlist. thanks for the boden shorts rec - it actually reminded me that J crew do those chino shorts in all different lengths, I may wait for a discount code and order some along with the chambray shirt i like.

is anyone else unsubscribing from lots of emails? i am only keeping a select few, getting fed up of loads of marketing which I have allowed them to bombard me with directly, grrr.

foxysocks · 18/01/2014 02:04

*presale

sleep did you buy anything?!

BrandyAlexander · 18/01/2014 05:28

Aaargh! Have woken up and can't sleep! Hi Foxy!

Barbie, I was agog at that quote.Shock Think of all the bling I could get! We have a more sensible quote now for £5k at the Hilton residences on jumeriah beach. Is there a nicer residences type accomodation minus the ludicrous price tag? We are going for 10 nights and thinking max £7.5k for accommodation. You are so right about Dubai being expensive though. We only want a bit of Easter sun without having to travel right round the world to get it or pay an arm and a leg!Grin

LinusDKD · 18/01/2014 06:22

Morning!

What a night! I can't remember how many times I had to get up for an upset DS but it was a lot!

And now he is full of energy playing with one of his birthday presents (wanted to give him something now as DH only lands later)

Yawn. Still in my pj's.

I want a piccie of the brown stickers too dry!

shopafrolic · 18/01/2014 07:02

Morning Voguettes - how's the head Sleep? I have this assumption that you don't get hangovers??
Happy Birthday Linusjunior - have a wonderful day
DH has gone. :(
My day will mostly be spent at a miniature railway exhibition - rock, and indeed, roll - what to wear? :)

QueenCadbury · 18/01/2014 07:10

Morning everyone. Wow, what a lot of pinning last night. Hope you find something you like shop.

dry you need to give up sugar. Honestly my frown lines have virtually disappeared.

linus happy birthday to ds. Sorry you had such a bad night sleep.

foxy hello, glad you're having a lovely time. I unsubscribed from loads of emails last year and now I only receive the gap ones. Any discount codes can normally be found online so I found that you don't actually need all the emails.

foxysocks · 18/01/2014 07:30

hey queenc. yes i know what you mean - if you actively want something it's easy to hunt down the discounts / check quidco. i have kept matches and j crew so far because I may well order from them this year- everyone else is getting the big heave ho.

it turns out that because is one of my lovely lovely RL friends and it doesn't surprise me at ALL that she has found this board/thread. she is v stylish lady, better at the formal thing than i am (she says, in faded denim cut offs and neon pink tee).

BecauseIsaidS0 · 18/01/2014 07:39

Ha ha ha it totally made sense that we'd bump into each other here Grin

Drywhiteplease · 18/01/2014 07:48

Foxy and Because small scary world
Shop we'll look after you Smile
QueenC I'm the cheese eater remember.....don't have a v sweet tooth as a result don't do sugar much. And after loosing some weight a couple of years back my wrinkles got worse but not that bad really because the fat goes from your face.
I was once told you had to choose between your face or your bum, the woman said I Had a lovely face Angry!!!!!!i now have both of course Wink

Drywhiteplease · 18/01/2014 07:51

Oh and DH and I are meeting our builder at 9 Shock to discus the quote for our extension . Keep your fingers crossed, even with the scaffolding save, DH is still concerned about the cost.

BrandyAlexander · 18/01/2014 07:52

Oh my goodness foxy and because, what are the chances!Shock

Shop, poor youThanks i will be wearing cashmere sweater and gap skinnies for running the dcs around their activities this morning. Same for you?Grin

foxysocks · 18/01/2014 07:53

I reeeeaaally like the ruffle leopard dress DMBL40 included on her dress blog, but it's 100% poly. grrr. and DH will probs go crackers if I start ordering stuff to be delivered while i am away.

am I crazy? i quite like the rara skirt thing, even though it is terribly 80s.

foxysocks · 18/01/2014 07:53

novice and dry if you knew us and the convos we have had in the past it does not surprise me AT ALL!

MarshaBrady · 18/01/2014 07:55

Foxy and Because how funny! And lovely.

Happy birthday Linus to your lovely ds.

Parties today.

BrandyAlexander · 18/01/2014 08:00

Good luck Dry! Dh moaned like mad about costs when we did our extension. Now we are about to recoup all the money in the sale he has forgotten what a moany git he was!Hmm

MarshaBrady · 18/01/2014 08:00

Had a look Foxy I really like that shape, would suit you.

Turquoiseblue · 18/01/2014 08:06

Dry /queen there was a really interesting article in the observer last summer about sugar... Did you read it?
Because - Bali sounds lovely ... I can vouch for sea folly, Melissa o and tigerlilyswimwear.com.au/shoptigerlilly beach wear ...
Lots of lovely dresses ... Joseph one gets my vote.
Hmm ..backpacks ... Not convinced wary of new trends
Dry - you saving for the G disco? What colour ?
Shop, I had a tantrum-full dd still do I think hunger and tiredness noises/ heat used overwhelm her with swimming so we bought 2 peppa figures that lived in the swim bag she was only allowed for in the changing room, and I used get out 10 mins before the end of the lesson, worked much better... I also left bathing/ showering until we were home somedays.

QueenCadbury · 18/01/2014 08:13

dry I forgot you don't eat much sugar. Looks like you're stuck with the sticky things then!
turquose I don't think I saw that article. There's been lots of others I've read though.

I may be tempted to do the backpack thing. Dd doesn't use the buggy much anymore so it would be a really practical way to carry drinks etc.

QueenCadbury · 18/01/2014 08:15

tempting

QueenCadbury · 18/01/2014 08:19

gorgeous

AmberNectarine · 18/01/2014 08:19

Urgh. That is all.

Drywhiteplease · 18/01/2014 08:20

Turquoise the black.....I'm boring.....the red is lovely too. I didn't read that article. What did it say? I was just amazed at how much sugar there is in fruit/juices/smoothies....things you are sold as "healthy" sometimes aren't. It's such a con.

MarshaBrady · 18/01/2014 08:23

Pretty much everything sold as good and healthy - reduced fat, slim, diet, cereal and juice - isn't. Funny how that's happened.
