Do you...

  • love fashion (high and low end), style, beauty?
  • spend way more time than is healthy for anyone thinking about the contents of your wardrobe?
  • wish you had the nerve to apply for Mastermind with your specialist subject being the history of H&M collaborations?

If so come and chat! Hugs and kisses allowed

Good luck dry, you'll feel great afterwards! I read YAWYW a while back and seem to recall it had a specific bit about wardrobe editing as well as the separate chapters, might be a good idea for me to look at it again.

Lots of jeans talk. One I think measuring yourself in all the places shown on shop's link is a good start - most online shops selling premium denim seem to give very detailed measurements for each style now, so that could give you an idea of which styles might be best to try when you get to the actual shop.

Thanks to Amber I am a goldsign virtual convert - have two pairs and wear the dark blue ones far too much. I got them online without trying on but I had an inkling they would be right for me, as I need a high rise (hate that feeling of bum threatening to hang out when you sit down in low rise jeans - must be getting old Wink) and a very short leg (27" inside).

Also was interested to see QueenC mention skinny flares as I got some recently. Wanted to recreate something like this (got the coat already, God I am such a sheep!). I got the MiH marrakesh (asos bargain) which come with a 36" leg (!!) so I need to get them altered but I will report back. Was planning on wearing them with 3" heels, which means pistols in winter/spring/autumn/whenever I can get away with them :)

Wow long post, will stop now!

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 15/01/2014 14:01

Thanks Decam, seems to be a bit hit and miss at BA then! Confused

shopafrolic · 15/01/2014 14:05

After all that wait the Ganni sweater is going back. The colours in the pic aren't accurate and the beige stripe is actually a sort of weird putty colour. The jumper is also way too fitted, not enough slouch for me so I'd have to go up a few sizes. I don't love it at all. Shame.
On a positive note the Me&em basics are all keepers

MrsRaddichio · 15/01/2014 14:06

Hello everyone .

Wanted to come on and say hello to Blair - It made me smile that you were prompted to post by me re-pinning one of your pins Grin

Am taking a bit of a break from posting atm but enjoy keeping up with what you are all up to x

shopafrolic · 15/01/2014 14:08

Waves back over enthusiastically at MrsR. Your pins recently have been fab.

Umlauf · 15/01/2014 14:13

I have the mih Marrakech too blair and haven't worn them due to not having a pair of stilts. Worried about taking them up and losing the flare as they are SO long. Let me know how you get on!!

shopafrolic · 15/01/2014 14:14

OMG'!!!!!!!!! The Anglomania came back into stock on NaP so I grabbed it!

Umlauf · 15/01/2014 14:15

Hello mrsR Smile the Maison scotch blouse was my Xmas day outfit, I had lots of compliments on my tan (I don't have one!), the colours thing really works!!

shopafrolic · 15/01/2014 14:15

this one

OneLittleLady · 15/01/2014 14:18

excellent Shop hope it fits right

Annianni · 15/01/2014 14:24

well done Shop!

We've missed you MrsR.

Anyone enquiring about the mnv pin board... it's not really a mnv board, it's a private one of mine that got invaded a while ago.
I have photos of my home and dc's on there, so I don't want to add anyone at the moment (sorry)

But if anyone wants opinions on possible purchases, or outfits, then feel free to set up another private board and I'm sure people on here would be happy to join and give their verdicts Smile

MarshaBrady · 15/01/2014 14:25

MrsR hello lovely! Great to see you. Love your pins too.

Shop fate!

LinusDKD · 15/01/2014 14:30

Well done shop!

Hi MrsR! I was thinking of you today when I bought my big crinkly skirt! You pinned a lovely picture a while back and I loved how you styled yours.

shopafrolic · 15/01/2014 14:42

If the dress fits you'll all have to invite me out somewhere fancy for dinner as otherwise I have no reason to need it right now! Grin
The fact that there's been a return makes me nervous though...... My first ever VW dress to try so I'm quite excited....

NUFC69 · 15/01/2014 15:02

Shop, love the dress - I hope it looks as good on as it looks in the pic.

Welcome to all the newcomers and returnees from another newcomer (and delurker).

One, sorry to hear of your continuing health problems; bad health sucks, doesn't it?

As someone who was a SAH mum when her children were small, I doff my cap to the way some of you cope with little ones and demanding jobs. In my mind it's hard enough coping with DC without having added pressures. Flowers Grab any help you can get!

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 15/01/2014 15:05

to MrsR my catalyst to delurk! See you on Pin.

Umlauf will definitely let you know when they're done - I folded them up and thought it looked ok but we'll see.

Anni I understand and it was cheeky of me to ask - sorry! Didn't realise it had private stuff on as well.

shop that's great, hope it fits, it's such a nice feeling when you nab something that was gone :)

OneLittleLady · 15/01/2014 15:08

if there's a fancy dinner, I'll make the effort. I'll even try not to spill food down myself Grin Wink

Umlauf · 15/01/2014 16:16

I'm such a tool blair I just tried them on and turned them up and they look fantastic. Better than the big full length flare I think. I can't believe I've had them in my wardrobe over a year without doing that!! Although I was pregnant I suppose. Going to take them to the tailors ASAP!

OneLittleLady · 15/01/2014 16:24

thanks NUFC bad health definitely sucks. I try to stay positive though, it's bad but it is worse for many other people so you have to try and count your blessings don't you Smile

Drywhiteplease · 15/01/2014 16:27

Oh my GOD Shop TOLD YOU!!!! It's fashion fate again......I just knew it would happen. Grin
Hello MrsR ....good to see you again

I'm having a tea break. DD, off sick, helped me sort my shoes. Nothing like a 13yr old to do the job Hmm quite harsh but honest and right....I'm 17 pairs lighter shop if you want some clear boxes I could bring you some when I next come down
Emptying and hoovering my wardrobe is fantastic. I found a brand new pair of Oasis Cherry skinny jeans in khaki that I'd forgotten I'd bought Hmm and.........43 pairs of knickers Hmm Shock

Anni fashion show would be fun! but I've been ruthless and got rid of all but 2 of the evening gowns and I don't need those 2

Right....back to it!

Laters.........

QueenCadbury · 15/01/2014 16:34
