The ducklings and chickens are settling in nicely under a heat lamp in a secure shed. They'll be let out onto the ponds when they are big enough to fend off water rats.

Am laughing at the idea of a holiday souvenir chicken Marsha. Somewhat unusual! The schools in Mexico used to give us kids a chick each at Easter to take home. Mine grew into a cockerel called 'Beverley'. Had to be sent to our maid's farm as got very aggressive.

Feeling very sharp in my new checked coat, Pour La Victoire snakeskin brogues, leopard print skirt and cream Kenzo sweater (prints shouldn't work together but they do) plus scarf from Marc Jacobs and new gloves. Kind of a Mad Men/ Beat vibe.

Mignonette · 28/12/2013 15:16

Dry I do- I get pashes on outfits and wear them a lot. I don't worry if people see me in them again as i don't tend to bother if others wear the same outfit. If they look good in it then why not wear over and over?

I have the best of both worlds in that i have a house in a country town and an E London flat to escape to (that I used when I worked in the W of town). So not rural, rural but within 2 miles of it. My relatives live in real ruralshire (up an unadopted track with no proper postcode yet so mail gets lost) and I escape there when I need to be truly alone. The coast is so cold and exposed that it freezes your jaw and you dribble when you try to talk Blush

QueenCadbury · 28/12/2013 15:26

Thanks for the feel betters. I'm honestly a walking hormonal disaster. I look forward to 20 years time when hopefully it's all over!

Lovely clothes marsha.

I'm trying to pack for 5 days up north. Feeling fat and bloated so I know whatever I pack I won't feel good in. Except my new lovely coat!

Lol mig " dribble while you talk"..... When I went skiing a few years ago I remember sitting on the scare lift next to my normally v glam girlfriend, it was exactly as cold as you've described, so cold you couldn't feel your nose and eyes running either...we looked at each other and laughed " bloody hell, what's happened to us?!!!!" Grin

MarshaBrady · 28/12/2013 15:39

Mig love your outfit. I remember trying keep the cheeping from the hotel man. What a nutty thing to do.

Dry yes for sure, I am feeling bored with a couple of mine now unfortunately.

Thanks QueenC.

Not sure when to show dh the new coat. Could fall into man-repeller territory (the blog, which is fab).

MarshaBrady · 28/12/2013 15:40

Lol at Mig and Dry and so cold .

QueenCadbury · 28/12/2013 15:43

Does anyone else dribble in their sleep? Or is that just me Grin

OP posts:
OneLittleLady · 28/12/2013 15:49

I don't dribble in my sleep QueenC but I have conversations with myself and sleep walk Grin

Drywhiteplease · 28/12/2013 15:54

Everyone does that QC..... But do you ever wake up and a limb is numb because you've slept on it funnily and it gives you a fright because you don't know whose it is?!!!! Then you have to pick it up and move it so the blood comes back into it! Hate that , creeps me out.

Mignonette · 28/12/2013 15:59

I have been known to have a little sleeptime drool going on Queen!

God I am sexy Shock.

I get sleep paralysis too. Very scary.

Am laughing at the idea of Marsha and her childhood handbag with sound effects! Very funny.

santamarianovella · 28/12/2013 16:09

queen can you stop the pills? The symptoms sound terrible. Anyway you have a lovely coat, you can practically wear anything underneath it and still look fab.
mig and dry Grin

marsha it looks amazing on you.great with the orange sweater, the Philipa K looks great.

LinusDKD · 28/12/2013 16:11

Quickly popping in to say that one of you has to go to Dover Street Market and buy the gorgeous Indigo Céline Nano.

I am in love but two Nano's would be too much.

marsha they also had a couple of Trio's, a nice red, a sludgy green and another which I have forgotten.

Oh and Liberty had lots of Isabel M Etoile stripey woollen jackets. From £280 to £95. I was tempted but the wool was too scratchy for me.

Mignonette · 28/12/2013 16:19

I cannot go to Dover Street Market It will cost me too much Sad. I get a bit spendy in there.

shopafrolic · 28/12/2013 16:24

LInus and Marsha you might have crossed paths in Liberty today!

MarshaBrady · 28/12/2013 16:42

Oh fab Linus, definitely on the look out for new one . Could you pm me if they are on sale?

MarshaBrady · 28/12/2013 16:42

Flustered not flu!

LinusDKD · 28/12/2013 16:53

Not on sale marsha, sorry!

I was in Liberty too! If you saw a small foreigner in a Moncler coat, a Tod's bag, TS skinnies and J Choo bikers (followed by a harassed looking male) that was me!

I saw such lovely cushions at Liberty

Drywhiteplease · 28/12/2013 17:08

Right...the Chanel red is looking better, toned down over another shade....am loving red lips for the evening. Party starts at 5 (oh now actually Shock) but more of an open house really. Have learnt to not arrive ready to party at 5..... Gets messy Grin

So here's my plan, must remember not to:

Hit the fizz on arrival
Dance in the kitchen
Speak "excellent" French to my friend's French colleague
Invite lots of people for dinner
Flirt with gay lady (her partner did NOT like it)
Speak too loudly
Embarrass my children in any way.....must remember to be cool and ignore them!
Trip over milk bottles

Hmm sounds boring

OneLittleLady · 28/12/2013 17:11

Hope you have a brilliant time Dry Grin

shopafrolic · 28/12/2013 17:40

Please do all of the above Dry as otherwise tomorrow's thread may be a little dull

MarshaBrady · 28/12/2013 17:41

foxysocks · 28/12/2013 17:54

RubyLovesShopping · 28/12/2013 18:08

Haha dry, apart from the milk bottles I have been able to tick everything else in your list! Have great time.

shopafrolic · 28/12/2013 18:27
