Dh has bought me four KM dresses. I haven't seen them.

Pissed you are?

IsThisMyLife · 21/12/2013 19:16

four! !! KM isn't really my style but if it's yours that sounds great .. x4

Likeaninjanow · 21/12/2013 19:20

I'm sitting in a KM dress right now, waiting on my taxi. I love them. I have 3 or 4, and they last very well. The one I'm wearing is 7 years old and still looks like new. Hasn't dated in the slightest either.

nomorecrumbs · 21/12/2013 19:22

I bet they'll be great investments Envy

Chippingnortonset123 · 21/12/2013 19:24

Thanks, Like. I don't know anything about KM but they can't be that bad if you are admitting to wearing one. Yes, he has bought four.
I have just been charged £13 for a large gin and tonic so being pissed is out of the question. £13!

nomorecrumbs · 21/12/2013 19:27

Are you in a hotel? £13 is outrageous!

I love KM, and have seen several lovely dresses there, but all a leeetle out of my price range.

Belize · 21/12/2013 19:29

4??

To choose from or all keepers? We need links Grin!

I quite like a bit of KM.

Chippingnortonset123 · 21/12/2013 19:38

I am relieved that KM sounds Ok. I am at a hotel. I just saved £36 from my M and S shop and one drink has almost wiped out a third of my saving. We are still waiting for the bill for one earl grey.

RedPencilPot · 21/12/2013 19:38

Love km! Lucky you!

Links pls

NewBeginningsSnoopy · 21/12/2013 19:40

Don't really like it. Sorry.

Chippingnortonset123 · 21/12/2013 19:47

He orders the km dresses online last night. He rang me to ask me to meet him at a dress shop and try on a dress about an hour ago but I had already paid for my g and t and nothing would remove me from it. I have been here for about an hour and a half to get my money's worth. He has now gone to get the car, leaving his shopping. There is a bag from Coast, which is taped, one from Edinburgh W M which contains tartan and one from Zara which looks like it contains two tops, long sleeved and ribbed; don't want to look as if I have poked at them too much.

Wow! Very generous!

Personally I would not be impressed as I don't like KM. Too waggy and too much stretch satin for my liking.

But if you like them then what a treat!

Chippingnortonset123 · 21/12/2013 19:54

I live in jeans from Tesco. When he announced that he had bought four dresses from km it did cross my mind that he might be buying them for himself. They are to keep, not to choose from. When I see them I will link if I can.
I can't

MrsBennetsEldest · 21/12/2013 19:54

I love her Silk Dresses but the satin ones not so much.

Chippingnortonset123 · 21/12/2013 19:55

Waggy? Oh hell.

OP posts:
googlenut · 21/12/2013 19:57

Sounds like he might not be getting much change out £1000 for your crimbo presents! That ok with you?

Chippingnortonset123 · 21/12/2013 19:59

I have just found the receipt from the Edinburgh woolen mill and I quote
I ladies mini kilt
2 ladies luxury kilts
Amount due: £167.00

I am not Scottish, and not is he, although he pretends to be.

OP posts:
Chippingnortonset123 · 21/12/2013 20:04

No. It is not really ok with me. Really that lmuchl? I have bought him an m and s jersey, a tie, a Sellotape dispenser and a meal for a homeless person.

googlenut · 21/12/2013 20:06

It will be somewhere between 500-1000 depending what the dresses are like. He does sound very thoughtful though!Smile

LRDtheFeministDragon · 21/12/2013 20:08

Ee.

Well ... they can be absolutely lovely. They can also be frankly shit. I've had a couple of things from there that fell apart within a few weeks, and they were really arsey when I took them back.

Sorry: I know that's the negative side but you need to know because you need to have a really good look and check they don't look damaged/nothing is coming apart.

bishboschone · 21/12/2013 20:14

It comes up small , also very dressy . I can't see you would be wearing them on the school run.

bishboschone · 21/12/2013 20:14

Dressy or smart office I meant.

CheckpointCharlie · 21/12/2013 20:15

Ahhhh he is very generous and I am sure you will look amazing, it's how you wear it!!

Chippingnortonset123 · 21/12/2013 20:18

I'll post when I see them and try to link.
Still reeling from the thirteen quid g and t.

OP posts:
LRDtheFeministDragon · 21/12/2013 20:30

They're not all very dressy - I've got a couple of their knit dresses and they're fine.

Loads of peplums and lace this season, though.

I don't know if you don't want to spoil the surprise - but any chance of going on the website for a browse so that if you don't like them, you can tell him something else you do like and soften it a bit?

You might absolutely love them, though - and when they're good they're really good.
