Ok. Are you friends with the diary man?

Lifeisaboxofchocs · 21/12/2013 20:34

i used to love when i was in early and mid twenties. not so much now.

the key is what body shape you are. KM caters for slim women generally. KM is very keen on the body con dresses.

eurochick · 21/12/2013 20:36

It can be very waggy. There are some gems in amongst the stuff that looks like it has had a haberdashery thrown at it though. I have some lovely smart dresses for work from there, and a couple of lightweight knitted ones for the weekend.

It does come up small and most of the styles are very fitted.

Chippingnortonset123 · 21/12/2013 20:41

Who is the diary man?

I will have a look on the site if I get a chance. Will link as soon as I know.

I have searched the bags, apart from the sealed one and capn't find any relevant receipts or lists.

The diary man was on last night having made a drunken purchase of a Smythson's diary for his wife at £180 or some such amount.

OP how come you are riffling through your Christmas presents in advance of the day?

Belize · 21/12/2013 21:59

I have to say I find it hilarious thinking of my DH buying me clothes, god only knows what I would end up with!

Chippingnortonset123 · 21/12/2013 22:06

I have found a list of 6 dresses. Will post d

Chippingnortonset123 · 21/12/2013 22:10

Belize. He is watching tv and I have been looking in the spare room . I didn't look in the clothes bags that much but I found the list with another bag.

All I can recall is 'bandaged'. Will post descriptions of dresses when I can.

Mishmashofstyles · 21/12/2013 22:41

Yes I was going to say very bodycon.

Really like the first one. The detail on the back is lovely. Definitely 'dressy'dresses- hopefully you'll be going o some lovely places to wear them :)

EustaciaVye · 22/12/2013 07:25

Love that bandage pencil dress. Smile

EustaciaVye · 22/12/2013 09:18

The lingerie dress fits with the name!
Love the chinoserie.

I hope he is going to take you out a lot OP as these dont look like everyday dresses.

HelloBoys · 22/12/2013 09:26

Tranny sorry Trinny and Susannah love them as they come to life and/or flatter when on rails!

I used to buy them when younger when they had their awful strict no refund credit note etc only policy so got put off.

But got great sale bargains. I've also had 'buy me goggles' on where I've bought a dress from there for an event gone off it then ebayed (made me my best profit).

I prefer if any coast (but still a bit WAG) and Whistles, See by Chloe etc these days.

Ladyglamalot · 22/12/2013 10:42

Dont like them at all-sorry but they are all very Towie looking dresses to me. I would be pissed off if I could'nt return them too.

HoHoHopasholic · 22/12/2013 18:02

I like KM. I have a few dresses, had a lovely red tartan one last year but it no longer fits , ,too big! Xmas Grin
Sometimes they're a it too fussy/wagtastic. I like their casual stuff too. Have had a few denim shirts and dresses over the years which have lasted well without dating.

Curioustiger · 22/12/2013 19:56

KM is the best on the high street for making curvy women look thin, I think. Very very structured and brilliant at holding me in. I would be perfectly happy if all my work clothes came from KM. However I do think they are overly fond of ruffles and I am not at all keen on the shoes and bags. They can verge on WAG in the evening wear category, yes.

Overall though I'd be really happy with four KM dresses so if you don't like them OP send them to me!

ShreddedHoops · 22/12/2013 20:34

I'm Envy - not just of the dresses but of having a lifestyle that meant I could wear them! I had a beautiful one for a university ball, it was black, strappy, midi length with a slit, in a shiny snakeskin thick satin. Better than it sounds, honestly! I wore it with hot pink strappy Carvela shoes. Probably cost me a month's rent that outfit Hmm

Loopytiles · 23/12/2013 09:04

I would hate DH to buy me so many clothes, especially if very different to what I normally wear, would wonder if he wanted me to look different.

Also if spending as much as £500-£1000 on clothes would far rather do it myself to make sure got stuff would wear often.

It's generous to spend a lot if you/he can afford it and he'll be Ok if you return anything you don't like or that doesn't fit.
