the other day i was positing the virtues of SKIMPY swimwear when you are pear shaped....

but ive just seen this... could this be the coolest thing ever? ....and i think its ace!...in a slightly 'margo'kind of way...or is it really cool in a uber groovy way.

i know i love it either way

It is really nice but all my saggy bits would just ooze out of the sides!!

katierocket · 14/07/2006 16:18

don't like it - sorry. I think you could possibly look nice in it if you were in your early 20s with a fantastic figure (which of course you might be for all I know)

beansontoast · 14/07/2006 16:19

reality check...im 35!

OP posts:
katierocket · 14/07/2006 16:19

Then I would say no, sorry.

foxinsocks · 14/07/2006 16:20

that would fall off my shoulders - do you think it would have enough support?

I also think the front looks a bit weird although maybe it's because of the strange mannequin

Lmccrean · 14/07/2006 16:21

£20? bargain. cutout styles are really really in this year (i work for a company that sells swimwear - no as great value as this tho!)

beansontoast · 14/07/2006 16:25

oh katierocket...the voice of reason

i dont need much support...if any! i thought it might create an illusion of boobage?

the rest if the site looks really cheap too!

Lmccrean · 14/07/2006 16:27

\link {http://www.figleaves.com/uk/product.asp?product_id=FBF-9374\i love this} but really couldnt get away with it

Lmccrean · 14/07/2006 16:27

ack pants..try again.. i love this

katierocket · 14/07/2006 16:29

Well you know beans - I only have your best interests at heart . Cutaways may be fashionable but that doesn't mean they're right for everyone (as with so much that is fashionable).

katierocket · 14/07/2006 16:31

sorry lmcream but I think that's just tacky

beansontoast · 14/07/2006 16:32

im humbled by your discipline kr!

thanks for the links ...going there now.

mnet really slow today!

OP posts:
poisson · 14/07/2006 16:34

i like both of ehm

beansontoast · 14/07/2006 16:37

i like it...but strapless wont do my bony chest any favours...and if im doing cut out its going to have to be black and white

im sooo 35

OP posts:
poisson · 14/07/2006 16:37

funny how the cut out ones are mych sexier than the bikinis really

no good for my fat tho

beansontoast · 14/07/2006 16:39

it looks liek an arrow...pointing 'there' thats why

OP posts:
laughinglil · 14/07/2006 16:39

what awful tan lines you would have wearing that!

katierocket · 14/07/2006 16:40

I don't mind the black and white one, just think you have to be twiggyesque to wear it and look good.

beansontoast · 14/07/2006 16:40

like it though...like it alot.

however i susppect it would seperate my body into three ever increasing stacked tyres

OP posts:
Dunnyjo · 14/07/2006 16:46

i like them all (would wear them all if i had that body) but sadly i would just look like a saggy tyer

apronstrings · 14/07/2006 16:54

I think that m and s one is very sexy

bubblerock · 14/07/2006 16:58

There were some black cut out swimsuits in Ann Summers sale for £5 - I couldn't get away with them though!

laughinglil · 14/07/2006 17:18

i really do like them..i have recently lost weight and know i could wear one but wouldn't have the guts too tbh! As i said before i would also worry about the tan lines..but then again i suppose its more of a posing swimsuit rather than a sun bathing one!

hub2dee · 14/07/2006 18:18

This so isn't my topic area, but I have two distinct advantages over all the posters on this thread which make my opinion VERY valuable.

  1. I have met Botty.

  2. I am a bloke.

My conclusion, in respect of the aforelinked swimsuit is that Ms. Botty would have ZERO problem wearing it. You've got a great figure and you'd carry it off just FINE and would look great in it. So you jolly well go for it, old bean.
