Quick! Need opinions - is this dress too young for a 39 year old?

Oasis

I need something to wear to a party on Saturday so ideally need to order something tonight. I have no idea what to wear but liked this dress as it will cover my arms. Would wear it with black opaques and black heels.

What does everyone think? If you all agree it will make me look like mutton how's about helping me to find a stylish jumpsuit instead???

Would love some help!

I'm 39 and I'd wear it as long as it isn't too short.

FoxyHarlow123 · 18/11/2013 18:23

Tiny bit too short perhaps.

amothersplaceisinthewrong · 18/11/2013 18:23

The dress would good with black opaques as long as you are fairly slim.

As for jumpsuits. There should be a law against them.

dizhin79 · 18/11/2013 18:23

I'd say the same, should be lovely unless ur taller than 5'8" I.e the models height

ophiotaurus · 18/11/2013 18:24

It would look great with opaques.

superdeeduper · 18/11/2013 18:25

Thanks everyone. I am between a 10-12 and 5ft 6. Bit worried about the length then. Maybe its back to the drawing board. Just cant seem to find anything I like

Wear it and look fab :)

WhoNickedMyName · 18/11/2013 18:26

I'd wear it but I'm 5ft 2 so it would be longer on me. I think it's a bit short if you are the models height - 5ft 8.

juneau · 18/11/2013 18:26

I agree that if you're slim with good legs and wear it with black opaque tights it would be fine. I'm 39, btw, so I was interested to see what you were linking to!

dexter73 · 18/11/2013 18:30

One of the reviews says it is a bit short and she is 5'4" and another says it is a good length and she is 5', so it could be on the short side for you.

Go for it!

rainbowfeet · 18/11/2013 18:35

It's lovely but does look short, having said that the model is probably very tall herself so on average height should be fine Smile

IamInvisible · 18/11/2013 18:35

I'm 42 and I'd wear it.

I think it's lovely. Go for it, you'll look fab!

TheHeadlessLadyofCannock · 18/11/2013 19:09

Fuck it. Wear it. It'll look great if you love wearing it.

Pinupgirl · 18/11/2013 19:14

Deadly is the female have a lovely black lace skater dress and it is cheaper too-£50 I think. They usually deliver within 2 working days.

rwepi · 18/11/2013 19:24

Ooh that's nice.

I'm going to buy it to wear to a party with very opaque black tights and mid heel ankle boots. I'm 43

Rootvegetables · 18/11/2013 19:41

It's not too young at all but their dresses are always really short!

chalkythecat · 18/11/2013 20:08

Only if you have great legs.

I like it but would need something longer. I don't have great legs...

monkeynuts123 · 18/11/2013 20:26

I'm not sure anyone over the age of 25 should wear a skater dress, sorry.

IfNotNowThenWhen · 18/11/2013 20:29

Its lovely. Who gives a shit how old you are. Wear it and feel fabulous. (We are the same height/ size, and I wouldn't think twice about wearing that).
There are no rules.

dexter73 · 18/11/2013 20:33

I wear skater dresses and I am 40! Get lots of compliments too so they must look ok.

shazbean · 18/11/2013 20:36

It's beautiful.
Rock it, you're 39 not 93 ;-)

BlondieTinsellyMinx · 18/11/2013 20:37

I love it!

Go for it! Grin
