Hmmm, not that much cheaper, I'm afraid, but this is reduced and looks really snuggly (mostly lambswool) and comes in cream or mustard. You can save on delivery by having it sent free to a local store...

I'm eyeing this but it will be £76 with a 20% code and free delivery. :( I did feel the cream coloured one instore and it was super soft and on the thicker side:

Uniqlo is the great for budget knitwear

Check out their Alpaca blend range & their Merino range

They come in lots of pretty colours.

duckyfuzz · 11/10/2013 19:18

Defo uniqlo, their merino is lovely and cheap, I've also just got one of these

AtYourCervix · 11/10/2013 19:22

Aha! What's their sizing like? I am v large.

OP posts:
LeoandBoosmum · 11/10/2013 19:23

The Uniqlo look great but they all seem to be dry clean only :(

duckyfuzz · 11/10/2013 19:23

Generous I'd say, I am 12 and their medium is a bit big on me

duckyfuzz · 11/10/2013 19:24

I wash cashmere in the machine, take no notice!

Twinklestein · 11/10/2013 19:27

Bollocks to dry cleaning, I handwash all my knitwear, never had a problem.

Uniqlo sizing comes up large.

screamingeels · 11/10/2013 19:28

woolovers - on phone can't link but lovely, lovely jumpers (and some odd frumpy stuff) made from proper wool, machine washable and excellent value. But do not tumble. my favourite cardigan got tumbled by accident and now DD (6) wears it.

MistyB · 11/10/2013 19:28

I bought some jumpers for my Mum last Christmas from woolovers. The selection alone is mind boggling, not all to everyone's taste but there are some nice things.

MaggieW · 11/10/2013 20:35

What is Woolovers sizing like please? They have some lovely and very well priced jumpers so am keen to find out!

MistyB · 11/10/2013 20:40

I bought XL for my Mum and I think they were on the large size based on their guidelines. No experience of the smaller sizes.

frankietwospots · 11/10/2013 22:03

Codes that might come in handy...

uniq60 gives £10 off a £60 spend

NCFAL for £5 off at Woolovers

Moonstorm · 11/10/2013 22:10

Why are all the jumpers in the hops crew or high necks? I want deep scoop necks!! ( and don't answer to keep warm.. Shops that sell sleeveless or 3/4 coats don't care about warmth!)

Rant over!

OP have you tried Celtic Sheepskin?

Yseulte · 11/10/2013 22:17

These are really scoop necks although they call themselves crew -

thepurplepenguin · 11/10/2013 22:23

What Yseulte said.

Also it's fine to machine wash uniqlo merino.

It is the absolute best.

Moonstorm · 11/10/2013 22:33

Thank you!

mewkins · 11/10/2013 22:54

Are those uniqlo merino ones any longer in the body than they were last year? I am 5ft 7 but they were virtually cropped last year!

Ujjayi · 11/10/2013 23:49

I really like the Uniqlo merino range - good quality & fine-ish knit. I size up because I cannot abide anything too close fitting. Am also long in the body & find them more than long enough.

I bought http://www.tkmaxx.com/new-in-womens-clothing/knitted-blue-angora-blend-jumper/invt/05596717&bklist=icat,4,shop,1,0511 This a while ago & wore for the first time today. It was very cosy and looked great layered over a slouchy white tee & jeans. I only ever usually wear merino, lambs wool or cashmere but despite a large synthetic component it isn't remotely static, sweaty or plastic-y unlike most synthetic knits.

Ujjayi · 11/10/2013 23:50

try again!

CointreauVersial · 12/10/2013 00:55

Woolovers!

Frumptastic website, but cheap as chips pure lambswool or cashmere merino. They come up big, especially the Unisex styles.

AtYourCervix · 12/10/2013 09:28

Thank you lovely stulish people. I'll have a hood look lstrr.
