I want something not to high but versatile enough to go with jeans and dresses/ skirts. Thanks

Sorry I think they're a bit frumpy. It's the heel shape/design.

dexter73 · 24/09/2013 19:57

I think they are really nice, not frumpy at all.

Fairylea · 24/09/2013 19:58

I agree with bexicles, sorry!

LeoandBoosmum · 24/09/2013 19:59

Bex... I must be getting old (38) as that's what I liked about them most... I thought they had a bit of a Victorian/ Jack the Ripper feel to them Grin
Thanks, Dexter....your name also just reminded me my favourite show is on tonight Grin

Ooh little bit frumpy and 80s for me, sorry. Can't see them with a skirt or a dress. They are definite trouser boots in my opinion.

LeslieKnope · 24/09/2013 20:00

Not keen.

Frumpy shape and the contrast between leather and wood is very dated.

Fairylea · 24/09/2013 20:07

These as an alternative maybe?

I really, really like them! I think they're very yummy mummy! They would look gorgeous with skinnies and a cute blouse. I'd buy them!

satsumagirl · 24/09/2013 20:10

Me like lots.

Hamwidgeandcheps · 24/09/2013 20:15

They are ok.....

tethersend · 24/09/2013 20:15

They're lovely. Much nicer than the Clarks ones.

mrsmindcontrol · 24/09/2013 20:21

I'm 39....very very nearly 40 & I think they're incredibly frumpy. I would've worn them to work about 15 years ago.
Sorry.

dexter73 · 24/09/2013 20:26

Perhaps I like them because I am 40 so have hit the magic age of liking frumpy shoes.

NoComet · 24/09/2013 20:28

Frumpy, no pair of boots that high can possibly be disc robed as frumpy.

The Clarks ones are awful!

NoComet · 24/09/2013 20:29

Described as

BetsyBidwell · 24/09/2013 20:30

i dont think i like

hint of MB

BetsyBidwell · 24/09/2013 20:32

think its the colour and leather.

dexter73 · 24/09/2013 20:32

I think the brown heel and platform bit stop them from being MB but I will bow to your superior knowledge as you are the creator of said boot!

BetsyBidwell · 24/09/2013 20:32

as long as you style them with bootcuts and a fleece

Fairylea · 24/09/2013 20:34

Ok so my Clarks alternatives were awful :) .. I was just trying to provide op with something other than saying the original ones were awful!

Biker type boots, zips and also riding style boots are all very in at the moment judging by what's about.....

BetsyBidwell · 24/09/2013 20:35

i agree fairy that a cowboy heel is more useful

TalkativeJim · 24/09/2013 20:37

ARGH NO - frumporama.

Just everything wrong - heel, texture, colour, THE WAY THEY LOOK AT YOU - frumpily.

ThePorpoiseOfStupidity · 24/09/2013 20:39

I don't like them sorry.

Avenue57 · 24/09/2013 20:40

Gorgeous - I like those a lot

firsttimemama · 24/09/2013 20:42

No to the Op boots - trouser wear only def not skirts and dresses. However I think the Clarkes ones are great and would work with trousers and skirts - good price too.
