I used to love DorothyPerkins' Bailey super skinnies, but they've changed the fabric and its not as good.

Has anyone found the perfect skinny? Not too high or low waisted and properly tight on the leg (with no baggy knees!)

Depends on how much you want to spend. I have recently discovered Diesel skinnies. Fab quality, very tight fitting and soft. Prices usually between £70 and £100 though. I also have H and M that are obviously quite a bit cheaper, but generally quite low rise.

notyummy · 14/09/2013 18:49

I have these in grey and they are lovely. So flattering.

DioneTheDiabolist · 14/09/2013 19:02

I have quite skinny legs and buy mine from Sainsbos. They are tight, comfortable and wash well.

OPeaches · 14/09/2013 20:20

notmummy, they sound perfect but I couldn't bring myself to spend that much on one pair of jeans. Next stock some diesel, I'll hang out for the sale.

Meanwhile, thanks Dione, I'll look in sainsbos.

Last night my friend was wearing a pair from gok wan at sainsburys, they looked nice, and she said she loved them.

AltogetherAndrews · 14/09/2013 20:52

Shockingly, I got jeggings from primark for 7 quid, which have been really good.

gaggiagirl · 14/09/2013 20:56

The m&s five pocket jeggings are very popular nice and tight but it depends on your legs they are mildly loose on me.

I second primark just make sure to take four different sizes into the fitting room.
new look super skinnies are fab too.

thingamajig · 14/09/2013 20:58

New Look have lots.

permaquandry · 14/09/2013 20:58

Topshop Leigh's are fab. Loads of colours and very soft.

bunnymother · 14/09/2013 21:00

New Look skinnies, esp the biker skinnies (£23 and are a super skinny cut). Beware the loss of shape from the New Look super skinnies (I bought a pair a couple of years ago and they rapidly bagged and sagged)

OPeaches · 14/09/2013 21:15

I've got pretty skinny legs - am an apple-shape, sadly, fat on top, v skinny on bottom. I've got a couple from new look but find they go baggy at the knee. Not tried Primark or topshop Leigh though, will look at those too.

Have ordered some Leigh's from eBay.

Primark do some ace £7 skinnies. I bought 4 pairs!

bishboschone · 15/09/2013 08:40

I tried on some m and s indigo range jeggings the other day. They were very soft and very tight on the legs although I admit I haven't got skinny legs I got the feeling they would be tight on anyone and stretched to fit .

susiefen · 15/09/2013 08:53

Primark superskinnies are fab - really soft and only £11.

Mumtoh · 15/09/2013 08:58

Primark ones are good, very soft although the sizing is a bit off. I have some Red Herring superskinnies (and some normal skinnies) and they are great. I find the sizing tends to be on the large size so may be worth going down a size. You can get them from debenhams, who happen to have 20% off, ending today. If you're a cardholder I think you get an extra 10% off too.

AltogetherAndrews · 15/09/2013 10:13

You sound the same shape as me- my legs are much thinner than my hips and stomach, so lots of skinnys, if they fit round my waist are far too baggy on the legs.

The best I have found is the primark £7 jeggings. Their super skinnys are a little baggier in the leg and cost an extra £4.

New look are always horribly baggy on the thigh, and have the additional
Problem that they won't stay up.

M and s 5 pocket, they also were too baggy on the leg. Which was a shame because I liked them.

Eastpoint · 15/09/2013 11:43

Leigh wear really poorly, bought some for dd1 15 in April & they are nearly worn through.

OPeaches · 15/09/2013 12:19

Oh bums, have already ordered the Leighs. I'll get some Primark ones next time I'm in town.

I have more skinny jeans than you can shake a stick at! Here's my verdict....

M+S 5 pocket jeans- baggy in the leg and go baggy at the knees
Top Shop Jamie-go baggy at the knee
Sainsbos jeggings-cut in at the waist and aren't tight at the knees
Primark-skinny jeans
New Look-really lose their stretch.
Next-really odd shape
DP-not bad, but not as skinny as they could be
Gap premium super skinny jeans-great, but after 3 years, have lost elasticity

These are the best I have found.....! They are tight, fit around the knees, are a good length (they look petite in the photo, but aren't), wash well, don't go baggy after a few days and are a lovely colour. I may have to order some more now ;)

I'm a 12 with skinny legs if that makes a difference.

missbopeep · 15/09/2013 13:37

Uniqlo.

But you'd have to order online unless you can get to London.

Mummyoftheyear · 15/09/2013 13:46

I love my sainsburys ones.

Redlocks30 · 15/09/2013 13:50

Which uniqlo ones are good, can I ask? Also, what's the sizing like?
