It's 115 days to Christmas Eve!

You can use this thread exactly like you were using the previous thread to keep track of what you're doing, have lists, ask advice etc. As its about renovation rather than strictly beauty, nothing is off limits so beauty, clothes, exercise, healthy eating.

So here we go!

OP posts:
Karbea · 08/09/2013 21:40

Mine haven't so far ;)

LetMeAtTheWine · 08/09/2013 22:14

Right ladies, I need a new plan. Am thinking I should concentrate on starting some exercise, then on food, the beauty routine, then clothes. Theory is that exercise will encourage me to stick to weight watchers and generally eat more healthily. Once have this nailed can then concentrate on the other stuff.
Need to do something though, am on a slippery slope and heading down rapidly Hmm
Am off to check out the exercise boards...
Here's to a new week and the start of a new routine... Smile

Dilidali · 08/09/2013 22:26

Golly, it's cold!
I can't remember if I have any shoes for autumn. But I will freeze in the morning in flipflops. White shoes in the rain, anyone? That'll be me then!
Bought lemons, might start the lemon thing tomorrow. Haven't done my nails :(

vvviola · 09/09/2013 01:34

Dentist visit was very upsetting (6 cavities that need filling - I've never had a filling before in my life. I fully blame the past 2 years of no sleep and associated slackness of general tooth care BlushBlush)

On the plus side, I now have lovely sparkly clean teeth. I just need to sort out time (and money Confused) to start getting the fillings done. She assured me that it sounds worse than it is, as some of them are quite small, but still,... ConfusedConfused

JemimaPuddle · 09/09/2013 08:10

Morning all
I've been away camping for a few days so no renovating. Did manage to keep up full skincare routine while I was away, washed & blow dried hair and applied makeup each day.
To do for today
Remove toe polish & redo
Straighten hair
Apply makeup
Tonight - shower, defuzz & body moisturiser & full skincare routine

Paintyourbox · 09/09/2013 09:13

Hi everyone,

DD has a lovely tummy bug and has passed it on to me so I won't be doing any renovating today- except for drinking lots of water to try and replace lost fluid!

On the plus side, my stomach is the flattest it's been in a long time Grin

HelgatheHairy · 09/09/2013 09:56

vvviola it must be upsetting to hear you need so many fillings when you've never has any. I have so many my mouth is mostly mercury! (I was never made brush my teeth as a child). Do get white fillings if you can, they look so much better and natural.

Anyone heard of/got a Philips Visapure. Just saw a magazine ad for it, seems to be a cheap clarisonic copy. My clarisonic died after 2 years and can't really justify replacing it, I liked it but not sure how good it really was.

lucysmam · 09/09/2013 10:36

good morning Smile

vvviola Sad I dread needing fillings, had two as a child and hated it! Definately go for white, no one but you needs to know you have them then Smile

Paintyourbox...there is always an upside to having a poorly child Grin Mine's coming down with a cold. I expect acres and acres of green snot by this afternoon going by what she was like this morning.

Well ladies, I have been threaded...and am Shock at the difference!! I do have wonky brows though from diy-ing them as a teen Grin But she says don't touch for three weeks and she can fix me! I even nipped straight to the ladies after having them done to fix my make up thank god for babywipes to fix mascara!

Other than that, morning routine all done inc hot water and lemon, vitamins, Brew , full face of make up. Remembered earrings Shock but couldn't find my pearl ones so will have to pick some up in Primark at the weekend. I picked up a new cuticle oil too, have had the old one a fair while so will sling when I get home.

Will switch to water after a Brew with dp when I get in. and have found a mint and spice tea I like so will switch most daytime Brew to that.

I write some huge essays, don't I!!? Please tell me if my many updates bore anyone.

(P.s. I plucked the chin hairs, Karbea if they sprout several more in their place I blame you!Grin )

vvviola · 09/09/2013 11:36

Thanks for the sympathy Grin I'm embarrassed to admit that when I got into the car afterwards I broke down into big heaving sobs.Blush I was getting lots of pitying looks ... which is when I realised that I was parked outside the fertility clinicBlushBlushBlush And that did give me a ton load of perspective. I mean, in the grand scheme of things, a few fillings are nothing.

Today's ta das:
Hot water & lemon
Proper breakfast
Gym (cardio, weights & core)
Face wash in shower
Plenty of moisturiser
Dentist for lovely clean teeth

And hot cloth cleanser, toner and moisturiser now before I hop into bed.

Failed miserably on reducing snacks & drinking water, but shall try harder tomorrow.

ControlGeek · 09/09/2013 16:11

I had to laugh at the slipper stories! I have come so close to going in to work wearing mine on more than one occasion!

Am on the phone so not even going to try and respond to everyone else's post right now. Ta das since yesterday's post are hot water and lemon, exfoliate and defuzz in the shower (forgot to moisturise after though), hair dried, straightened and oiled, chose a smartish top for work (but tatty shoes due to the rain). I am on my way to the dentist, and have a full bikini defuzz booked for wednesday lunchtime. Drunk gallons of water. Today is second fasting day of the week, so eating normally from tomorrow until Friday.

DP has dropped 1.5lb so he is very happy too!

JemimaMuddledUp · 09/09/2013 16:42

Eek vvviola* that sounds horrible. I don't have any fillings either, and my dentist always said that if you got to my age without having one you were unlikely to ever need one. I'm now suspicious that he is lying to me Hmm

All boxes ticked today, but am too tired to make a Ta Da list. I did raid Superdrug for some more hand cream and nail files on the way to DS2's SALT appointment.

Evening all Smile

Just about to take my make up off and set my nail polish out for fingers later on. Have gone for a dark ish pink.

Has anyone used one of those sprays that is meant to dry nails faster? I picked one up today...am not convinced it'll work but will give it a go.

I keep having to check my eyebrowsGrin why didn't I have them threaded before?!?

Clothes are out tomorrow...leopard print floaty ish top (subject to change as going for cuppa with dp Weds morning before he heads to work), layering that over a vest top with black skinnies and my new boots. Unfortunately it's turning chilly here & my coat is quite threadbare really Sad but will hopefully replace over the next few weeks.

Have been eyeing up a hat, scarves and gloves in Primark too Grin Will probably pick them and another eight quid jumper up at the weekend.

Bought shoe polish for my new boots since we're aiming for looking more polished and tidy. Have done both my boots and dd1's school shoes already Shock . Going to try and incorporate this into my evening routine. I do need some black boots too though...brown doesn't go with some of my wardrobe Confused

Karbea · 09/09/2013 18:20

No progress at all today in fact I haven't even showered yet I've been doing housework all day and now I'm knackered. I've eaten really badly, 2 slices of peanut butter and jam toast, fish finger sandwich, loads of chocolate and a token apple!

Blueandwhitelover · 09/09/2013 18:42

Good day foodwise. Slice of pumpkin seed bread with a scraping of butter for breakfast.
Cereal bar for lunch-I'm working through lunches now so am trying to come up with ideas.
Spicy chicken goujons with salad and pumpkin seed bread for tea.
Glass of wine.

Diva wise
Showered
Hair not straightened
Mascara
hair thickener applied

106 days to go

OP posts:
ELR · 10/09/2013 07:29

Morning, marking place lost the thread took me ages to find it!
I have been keeping up morning routine and wearing nice clothes and co ordinating jewellery, shoes and bags.
Not been too bad with eating, a little too much snacking so must sort that out.
Drinking plenty of water but not hot with lemon.
How's everyone ese doing?

JemimaMuddledUp · 10/09/2013 07:56

Oops, overslept this morning (ears are still bunged up from the ear infection and I didn't hear the alarm) so didn't wake up in time to go for the run I had planned. I won't have time to do it tonight instead as DS2 has a swimming lesson, then all 3 DC need dropping off to sing with their choir, then DH and I are going to see Kaiser Chiefs. Bugger.

Everything else was going quite well up until that point though!

lucysmam · 10/09/2013 08:31

Envy Jemima where are you seeing Kaiser Chiefs?

(will be back shortly to update Grin )

ControlGeek · 10/09/2013 08:39

jemima I think you've the perfect excuse there!

Forgot hot watr and lemon this morning, I was so desperate to have coffee with milk again after yesterday's fasting day.

Hair oiled and gibson tucked, and I'm wearing a black jacket rather than my usual cardi to work today. The scales are showing a loss for both me and dp which we are both very happy with.

Challenge for tonight is to go through one of my crap accessories drawers and have a sort-out.

vvviola · 10/09/2013 08:54

Today's ta-das:

Hot water & lemon
Healthy breakfast
Gym (cardio/weights/core)
Body & face moisturised/SPF
Resisted snacks
Walked to pick up DD from school
Took a bit of time to choose outfit

Must-do-betters:
Water Blush
Healthy dinners (we had an extremely delicious sausage, mash & gravy dinner. Yummy but not exactly healthy)

And my reward for all this virtuous behaviour? A massive spot about to erupt on my chin. Confused I swear it covers half my chin.

Lucysmam I'm very jealous of the threading. I used to get it done all the time but haven't found anywhere here yet. Must look into it. My brows are Almost untameable any other way.

lucysmam · 10/09/2013 08:59

I'm back Smile

Morning routine all done. Am doing well at the hot water remembering! Full face of make up on, I swapped tops for a less attractive but still lovely fine cream knit with spangly bits. Forgot accessories though so will get some out when I get in for tomorrow and afternoon school runs.

Quite chilly this morning so might wear one of my many scarves later on.

Control I'm trying to sort through my accessories too....need to buy a couple more make up case type boxes from Primark though so I can sort them into type. hopefully that might make it easier to pick from them because atm they're a bit of a jumble!

Just on way home for a Brew then will switch to water. Aiming for 2l or so a day.

lucysmam · 10/09/2013 09:00

vvviola I'm wondering why no-one told me how good it was before! My brows look loads better Grin
