GAAAAH. Following the Autograph mention I was looking at their bags last night and found three I liked, a red clutch, a khaki cross-body bag and a khaki/black tote. This morning ALL THREE HAVE DISAPPEARED! I have taken all the filters on and off and am pretty sure it is not just me being thick. There isn't even a message saying out of stock. They have just vanished - the tote and clutch are still there in other colours I don't like. This is a very common experience, just can't believe it has happened with THREE items overnight! WTF are they playing at?

This also happened with some red Autograph suede shoes that vanished and then returned randomly. It's like shopping at a fucking market stall except ££. It's so hard to build up any consistent picture of their offering or do any wardrobe planning. I am so I actually bothered to click the feedback button.

Also I don't want to "shop the edit" I want to simply bypass Pruna and Indigo and Collectiin and get straight to Autograph and Limited which is the only stuff I may possibly be caught dead in.

I bought a dress to go to a wedding reception in, black and white, fitted nicely and well made. It isn't on the website. I think it's a bit officey for the reception, but I'm a weird shape, so am just pleased to monkeys I got a dress that fits and doesn't make me look like the Heidenberg!

I'm wondering if I might photograph my very small collection of excellent M&S things from over the years and put it up and maybe others can too and we can all attempt to show them what they should be doing more of.

I am probably quite clothes- and self-obsessed enough to do that.

Not hideous at all IMO (hence the fact that it's out of stock ) but I agree perhaps not very weddingy, especially if it's soon (and a hot day)?

Any why are all the skirts and dresses mid calf length - who under 60 wears skirts at that length. Had a really good look round yesterday and did not see a single thing I wanted (except in homewares of course!).
The cashmere jumpers with animals on...... there are no words.

madbuslady after that happened to me a couple of times I've started adding stuff to my basket and then click 'save for later'. They stay there forever and the joy is that when the sale starts I can see straight away if the things I'm after are reduced.

It is soon. Saturday in fact. Luckily I'm out shopping on Friday with my friend so might keep this for every day wear and find something else for the wedding.

As one of the people who wears crap mid-calf lengths I can say that it's for people with fat thighs and swollen knees, like me. The mid-calf length stops us looking quite so sausage leggish (I think that should be a new phrase). I am nearly 50 though, so perhaps that's a factor too!

Am not surprised website is crap. A friend of mine worked on the M&S web site a few years back. M&S management were terrible - really didn't get the web. Had a 28 day response time to emails...I kind of hoped things had improved since then, but clearly not.
