Landsend has been recommended on here.

dexter73 · 12/08/2013 20:26

Or this one is reduced to £100.

spudmasher · 12/08/2013 20:33

Just to throw you a curve ball Kbear....
I have found that getting a really excellent pair of snow boots is a great investment. If my feet are warm, the rest of me can deal with it. same goes for gloves and hat. As long as my coat is ok, layered with a good fleece, I'm fine.

AnnoyingOrange · 12/08/2013 20:34

You need one of these

Kbear · 12/08/2013 20:39

Thanks, just the kind of thing I need and point taken about footwear - snow boots saved me in this last endless winter. The girl I stand with at footie had wellies on one day, she was almost crying with pain of coldness.

I was thinking I really need a sleeping bag with feet holes, that would do the trick!

Also salopetttes Sounds bonkers, but I got the idea from some of the other parent and I dug out my ski gear

I also have snow boots Grin

Kbear · 12/08/2013 20:48

salopettes - not bonkers at ALL - genius idea - two and half hours in freezing weather - salopettes are ideal!!

Heated insoles - the best thing ever!

lurkingaround · 12/08/2013 20:58

Heated insoles???? This is magic!

Where? How?

RandomMess · 12/08/2013 21:02

Hmm watching rugby I was loaned one of the training suit things, it was amazing!

dexter73 · 12/08/2013 21:12

Heated Insoles

FishfingersAreOK · 12/08/2013 21:12

A down-filled butt-covering coat like the Berghaus one should do the trick. I am never going to faff around with anything but down stuff for warmth now I have mine

Spookey80 · 12/08/2013 21:13

Me too

Rooners · 12/08/2013 21:14

didriksen...might be a bit more than that though sadly.

lurkingaround · 12/08/2013 21:25

Thanks dexter! I never knew.

BrennieGirl · 12/08/2013 21:30

I have the Landsend one linked up thread. It is amazingly warm but deeply unstylish. I don't care though. I feel miserable when I'm cold so I wear it any way.

spiderbabymum · 12/08/2013 21:46

Canada goose do THE warmest coats EVER

Hopasholic · 12/08/2013 21:51

Lol random might be a tad tricky going to the loo in the boys changing rooms or trying to squat under a bush as I've had to at football before

OnFoot · 12/08/2013 21:57

I have the landsend chalet coat in the maxi length and I love it. Amazingly toasty and great against wind, rain and snow. It's like being wrapped up in a duvet with a hot water bottle and a mug of cocoa! That and a pair of merrell boots see me through a Yorkshire winter.

RandomMess · 12/08/2013 22:19

ROFL, the proper sports ones have zips down the front of the legs - no idea what they are called though!

Hopasholic · 12/08/2013 22:22

Maybe a Shewee might come in handy!

OhOneOhTwoOhThree · 12/08/2013 22:27

Another rugby Mum here - I have the deeply unstylish, but amazingly warm, so worth it, Lands End chalet coat and a pair of their snow boots. And hand warmers for my pockets.

SimLondon · 12/08/2013 22:53

deerstalker in a large size will feel like your wrapped up in a duvet :-)
