Do you like turquoise? Can't decide if I love or hate this Boden cable jumper.

I am a winter and I would look hideous in that unless very tanned and very tall and attending a wallace & gromit cheese party, in a dimly lit aquarium

there are many variations on winter though, aren't there? I am a more olive skinned winter, with green eyes. Some would be a more pinky based, like Anne Hathaway

turquoise is great but maybe a greener turquoise would be your friend,a lighter icy aqua tone (my favourite) or shades of peacock, teal, etc - even royal blue, electric blue, navy

I love turquoise, but not that particular shade - too strong. I also love cable knits, but not that one - the shape looks very unflattering.

I'd love a cable knit in an icy aqua or mint tone cafecito, that's actually what I was after in the first place when I saw this jumper. My colouring's the Anne Hathaway kind of winter.

not right I know but there is this. If you are an Anne Hathway you will need a strong icy tone to it I would think, or a deep jewel tone. All jewel tones are your friend, actually.

yy cafecito ice and jewel tones are my best ones. Love the colour of the fisherman jumper, shame it's acrylic rather than cotton or I'd have been tempted.

Sconset it's definitely more smurf than emerald ;)

I love turquoise and wear it in summer, and have an aqua cashmere jumper from Boden BUT I don't like that cable jumper- I sent for the grey one and returned it. It's shapeless and a bit itchy.

Thanks Twinkestein will keep an eye on the Pure Collection website in case they do a cable jumper, the peppermint looks like a good colour for me (I think.. ).

Had a look at the American Vintage website but couldn't see anything in iced mint/aqua cafe.

Missbopeep I figured it would be quite shapeless so have sized down. Have sent back Boden cable jumpers before, not sure what I'm expecting to be different this time

I sized down from a 10 to an 8 and it was still big- and shapeless.

I've ordered a 6, so not much I can do if it's still too big! Love this one and it's only £432 in the sale. What. a. bargain.

I think you can wear that jumper if you are young, cool and skinny.

it might be last season's that was that colour in american vintage, was sooo yummy though and big and slouchy and soft. sigh. I got a top in it instead.

Only just tried on the turquoise cable jumper that I linked in the OP as had it delivered to work and haven't been in since wednesday. It's definitely not a good colour on me! It totally 'wears' me and makes my face fade into the background. BUT the jumper is a lot nicer than it looks on the model - really soft and not as long and shapeless as it looks in the photos. It definitely comes up big - I'm normally an 8 and the 6 is plenty big enough. Tempted by the mariner blue, it looks a nice vibrant navy...

Would look stunning on DD1(15), but she's allergic to lambs wool (and I'm allergic to jumpers coasting >£35)

Oh that's annoying, lambs wool is so warm! It would be a really nice turquoise on someone who suits turquoise :)
