Right, so what's the consensus then on tights vs bare legs in the office these days?

I remember Issymum asking this a while back and I can't remember the answer but anyway, I'm interested to hear what people think.

I work in a conventional industry and will be wearing tights come hell or high water since my legs need them, frankly plus we have air con so it's not exactly tropical in the office but what's the done thing these days?

No way would I wear tights in this weather.

Worked in an office before having kids and always went bare legged.

Haven't worn a skirt to the office in so long it's not really relevant. Would only wear tights if I had a really important meeting. My mum thinks I;m a slut for not wearing them to the office. But I'm a director so I can do what I like - nerr!

We're business casual and AFAIAC that includes bare legs in this weather... Although I do try and get round to a bit of fake tan.

People seem to think bare legs are socially acceptable these days at work. I think it makes them look like hookers who can't afford a pair of stockings.

Bare legs fine, as long as the legs in question are hair-free, lightly tanned and moisturised to within an inch of their life.
