Cod, I went to the shops today and bought a lovely green crochety cardigan thing from Kaliko that I'm very pleased with, a poplin shirt which I'm also pleased with, 2 x classic v neck t shirts and a skirt which is no good (didn't have time to try on so I just bought it all, skirt will have to go back tomorrow). I also bought 2 pairs of shoes, some gorgeous black peep toes patent high heels from Dune and some others which will have to go back, they're too tight. So it's a start, am going again tomorrow

Cod · 10/06/2006 20:05

right ime hte key to havign a successful summer is shoppignbefore the weather turns hot
in that way ont eh first hot day oyu are kitted out NOT going shopping

what are yer legs like?

WideWebWitch · 10/06/2006 20:08

My legs are bearable but I wouldn't wear anything above the knee obv, too old for that. And I can't do city shorts or trews atm, too fat. And please, please, I need some COMFORTABLE casual shoes, I haven't got any so went shopping today in a long linen black skirt and er, trainers. God, I looked a sight.

WideWebWitch · 10/06/2006 20:09

also what do you htink of loose tops?

WideWebWitch · 10/06/2006 22:40

medium norks in that fat woman sort of way. I can't do patterned skirt, god woman, people'll think there's a large patterned building coming towards them, I want to MINIMISE, not emphasise! Next was HIDEOUS today, no way was I standing in that q, but I like some of that stuff online. I'm heading straight for Monsoon, then Wallis, then Next. Did JL today. Can't be arsed to come all the way to Salis though if I ever go there to see my mate I may look you up

schneebly · 10/06/2006 22:40

I am stuck in a bit of a rut but think I know what suits me - how to update? Okay I am fat but pretty much in proportion and hourglass trype shape - legs bad. I tend to wear boot cut or slightly flared trouser to balance out the wide hipe and fat thighs and having lrge norkage I favour a gentle v-neck. Am I doing right and what else would suit? I know nothing about dresses and i could do with a good dress for golf club functions (for DG's job). Can you help me Cod? Grin Sorry for ramble - am pissed as fart!

Cod · 10/06/2006 22:41

ok have ot go to bed

www saw a fatter omwan yest in a fab siirt whee the deisgn minimised her thighs actually
worht trying imo

WideWebWitch · 10/06/2006 22:42

That t shirt is v similar to one I bought today. Happy with loose tops, the only bit of me I like is my waist from the front, it's quite hourglassy (until I turn sideways and one sees the apron) so I can handle slightly nipped in waist as long as not tugged over stomach.

Cod · 10/06/2006 22:42

so empire lien ok then?

schneebly · 10/06/2006 22:43

Sorry - didn't see the www in thread title Blush Sorry WWW for hijack!

WideWebWitch · 10/06/2006 22:44

Empire is fine. Scheebly, hijack away, anyone's welcome!
