I love strappy tops but feel a strapless bra wouldnt give me enough support!!

God yes - and the rest of my bodyGrin.

sassy · 06/06/2006 14:09

All the time. I'm a size 12 waist and hips, with 34G hoo hars. Hate em.

(Have you seen strappy tops in Bravissimo catalogue? Have a built in bra inside)

Auntymandy · 06/06/2006 14:10

Do you find it hard to get nice bras too?

OP posts:
threelittlebabies · 06/06/2006 14:14

Yep. Hate 'em.

sassy · 06/06/2006 14:14

Lol at sally!

My pilates teacher is always telling us that when we are lying on our sides, the way to check spinal alignment is that we should be able to see our toes. Er....not if you are me!

Gingerbear · 06/06/2006 14:16

No, my arse does.

Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes.

Er. A bit.

Surfermum · 06/06/2006 14:24

Yes! I get really annoyed this time of year when there are lovely strappy tops and dresses and I can't wear any of them. I'm a 34H and would need scaffolding by Sir Alfred McAlpine to keep my norks up.

yes! i remember the days when i could wear summer vest tops without a bra, but no not now since having dd my boobs are humungous!!

twocatsonthebed · 06/06/2006 14:33

totally. spaghetti straps are the work of the devil, most dresses are that fit around the bust swamp me round the waist, and loads of things just look stupid. But I would second the Bravissimo tops - esp the halter neck one which is particularly flattering

Twinkie1 · 06/06/2006 14:46

No just the rest of my grosse flabby body!!!! Sad

Piffle · 06/06/2006 14:51

YES!
And I really want a reduction after I have my 3rd and final child IF I can bloody get up the duff..
I loathe my norks beyond whats recommended.
Size 10, slim hipped and 32/34FF Norks

Piffle · 06/06/2006 15:08

Even worse over the last yr I have lost over a stone and my boobs have actually gone UP

desperatehousewife · 06/06/2006 15:13

totally. can't find nice bras, tops or infact anything. Am 42E. Try that for size oh you lot who think you have big baps.!

FlameBoo · 06/06/2006 15:16

Yes yes yes

34/36 F, about size 12 waist. And right now I don't give a sh*t what I look like with a strappy top and a bra - I am hot, breastfeeding and wearing whatever the hell I like.

I do wish shops would at least put the top straps in line with most bras.

Generally can't do dresses - too big up top to match the waist... have discovered that wrap arounds suit me, but now can't find one I like.

Blouses the same - need about 16-18 to fit boobs, and then look stupid round waist, and not spending £40 odd on bravissimo.

Would it really be so hard to design vest style tops with slightly wider straps, that come up a bit higher at front sides to cover a bra???

Oh, am severely lacking in coats that do up too because again, if they do up round the norks, they are giant in all other aspects.

Auntymandy · 06/06/2006 17:18

did anyone actually get smaller after breast feeding?!!!

OP posts:
PandaG · 06/06/2006 17:24

Me too, although have shelled out for a strappy top from Bravissimo, and have just circled several in the new catalogue which came today. I keep trying to tell myself that £40 on a top with built in bra is as cheap as buying a top and bra separately, and I can always wear the top as a vest and bra combined in winter! Grin

PandaG · 06/06/2006 17:25

And to answer you Auntymandy, no, I am bigger! - at least bigger than I was before children, but not at the height of bf

happysinglemum · 06/06/2006 17:26

Am hoping that things do get smaller after breastfeeding - 34H now - nearly passed out in shop!!!

Generally they don't look tooooo huge - compared to Jordan!!

Still, some women have to pay to get big boobs...I just inherited them (not sure who from though, my mum a 32AA!!!!!).
