Do I need Philip Kingsley elasticizer in my life?

It's on offer at the moment, huge 1 litre size for £60 on QVC with 4 easy pays.

My hair is fine but lots of it with a natural wave and tendency to frizz. I straighten the life out of it so heat and highlights has taken its toll. At the moment it is dry on the ends, its not overly greasy so I only wash twice a week.

I don't mind paying out for something that works! General feedback seems good but I wanted to get some honest opinions on here, ta in advance!.

Yes, you need it.

There, you can order it now Smile

EuroShaggleton · 14/06/2013 14:47

It's good. You use very little of it though (I use it once a week) so I can't see how you would use a litre. Just buy a normal size.

MissBeehivingUnderTheMistletoe · 14/06/2013 15:16

I thought that it was meh.

thepurplepenguin · 14/06/2013 15:33

I have the exact same hair type and it did nothing for me. Coconut oil or an Aussie hair mask much better.

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 14/06/2013 15:38

I have the litre bottle (can't remember when I bought it, I know it was from QVC on a similar Free P&P + Easy Pay Offer)

I like it, I put it on overnight with clingfilm (Glamouress it is not Grin )

You need to put it on damp hair, spend a bit of time massaging it in.
My hair is collar-length and coloured.

Lasts forever too in the litre size Wink

coffeeinbed · 14/06/2013 15:38

You don't need a litre of anything other than wine.
You'll get bored with it, even if you like if and if will sit and gather dust in your bathroom.

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 14/06/2013 15:39

And curiousity if you don't like it (within the 30 days) send it back .

curiositykilledthekat · 14/06/2013 16:11

Thanks all.

I do use coconut oil on my hair penguin, it is a good all rounder but I'm finding it makes my hair a bit greasy no matter how much I rinse.

Forgot to mention my hair is long so will be using a more than average amount. And I will probably use it on DDs long hair too.

And nothing to lose with the 30 day money back guarantee.

I'm talking myself in to this aren't I Grin

No. It's a waste of time. I've had better results from aveda shampoo and conditioner

dost · 14/06/2013 16:38

I have long, fine VERY dry hair due to straightening and colouring, did absolutely NOTHING for my hair, in fact I felt it was drier!!! far better results from coconut oil

AlwaysSleepingBeauty · 14/06/2013 18:11

I think it's brilliant, I have long, virgin hair and I think it makes it grow stronger. I would just buy a sachet first though to see if you like it.

curiositykilledthekat · 14/06/2013 19:45

I'm going to buy a sachet on eBay I think, try it first like you say sleepingbeauty.

HellonHeels · 14/06/2013 20:39

I've used it and really did not find it did anythng at all for my hair.

I was also sensitive to something in it, not sure what.

HellonHeels · 14/06/2013 20:40

Also, is £60 for a litre actually a good buy?

ZaraW · 15/06/2013 07:22

I tried it and it didn't work for me either. I use organic coconut oil and Waleda rosemary oil and they work much better and are significantly cheaper.

SilverSixpence · 15/06/2013 07:29

Didn't do anything for me either, I was do disappointed!

faustina · 15/06/2013 08:21

I love it - and I think I pay £19 for 150 mls so the price for a litre is good, however you should get the little tester and see what you think. Make sure you leave it on for ages and put the horrid plastic shower cap thing on

valiumredhead · 15/06/2013 08:38

It's qvc, of course it's crapWink

knitknack · 15/06/2013 11:55

I wouldn't buy it again - the main ingredient is castor oil anyway! I find that coconut oil has a much greater effect, even if I have to shampoo three times to get it out!!

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 15/06/2013 15:26

valium step outside (I won't have anyone talk scathingly about my precious QVC). Wink

Philip K is a trichologist not one of your celebrity hairdresser types that spew out their products (although do they actually use the same products in their salons) ?

You can get Phillip Kingsley in the big M&S stores curiosity. Might be worth buying a tester kit?

Lottapianos · 15/06/2013 15:31

I think it's Ok, wouldn't rave about it but some people absolutely adore it. The problem is that everyone's hair is so different so there honestly is no miracle product that works for everyone.

Dumbledorable · 15/06/2013 15:46

Didn't do much for me either, hair felt nice the first time I used it but I didn't get the same effects with repeat uses- definitely buy a sachet before you invest in a litre of the stuff.

valiumredhead · 15/06/2013 19:33

I'm willing to step outsideWink Grin

qvc is shite and makes its money from ridiculous p and p charges. Of an item is on qvc you can bet your bottom dollar you can find it much much cheaper on Ebay or Amazon Grin

valiumredhead · 15/06/2013 19:33

If not of
