Am I right in thinking this is hideous? Or am I hopelessly out of touch?

I had to stop and gaze in wonderment at this when I happened to pass by the window today. Is it nice? I mean I actually like the colour, but the neck puts me in mind of when I "converted" a round neck jumper to a v neck when I was about 13.

I quite like it....

FarleyD · 03/06/2013 22:04

Oh. Entirely possible it's me.

Although it does look a bit GCSE textitels. Grin

LynetteScavo · 03/06/2013 22:05

textiles

usualsuspect · 03/06/2013 22:06

I'm not sure what's going on with that neckline TBH.

usualsuspect · 03/06/2013 22:07

It looks like they forgot to finish it.

FlatsInDagenham · 03/06/2013 22:08

I'm amazed they can pit such a high price tag on something so basic and ... well ... home made looking.

And I don't like the colour!

ihearsounds · 03/06/2013 22:08

Looks like a quilt cover with a couple of holes cut in... Really horrible and seriously over priced. You could make them yourselves and save a couple of hundred quid.

tethersend · 03/06/2013 22:12

You're not wrong, that's shite.

WinkyWinkola · 03/06/2013 22:12

It's a bit sack like but not hideous.

FarleyD · 03/06/2013 22:13

Oh good, glad I'm not the only one not to appreciate the drawstring neckline.

I think it's hideous, something about it makes me cringe a bit.

bonkersLFDT20 · 03/06/2013 22:17

I don't think it's too bad - at least not on the model. I don't think it's feminine though because it totally covers every bit of feminity a woman might have (boobs, waist and hips). It would look terrible on me. It looks awful from the back.

RiffyWammal · 03/06/2013 22:18

Good grief, it looks like a home-made peg bag! Definitely the emperor's new clothes.

TeamJesse · 03/06/2013 22:19

I like it. Apart from the fact it's polyester.

Yonihadtoask · 03/06/2013 22:22

I think it is quite nice actually.

But I wouldn't wear it. It would hide my good parts - chest, stomach - and highlight my bad legs ?

And definitely wouldn't pay £200 for it!

youarewinning · 03/06/2013 22:27

It lacks shape - in fact the neckline is the only shaped bit Hmm

sydlexic · 03/06/2013 22:30

Just like I used to sew for my Barbie, when I was 6.

carrie74 · 03/06/2013 22:32

Looks very VB to me. I think it's quite understated, and I quite like it (the price, not so much, but I think it "looks" expensive IYKWIM?).

SPsCliffingAllOverMN · 03/06/2013 22:33

Sow the bottom together and you have a potatoe sack

OneTwoOrThree · 03/06/2013 22:34

Polyester & £200

Nuff said.

AnyFucker · 03/06/2013 22:35

it looks like a floppy, uncooked Valu-Price sausage

aftermay · 03/06/2013 22:36

How much?

aftermay · 03/06/2013 22:36

Oh, silly me, it's Jaeger. They're allowed, of course.

FarleyD · 03/06/2013 22:38

Grin @ Valu-Price sausage. Maybe the designer was inspired by her weekly shop. Am feeling vindicated on the whole ...
