Am I right in thinking this is hideous? Or am I hopelessly out of touch?

I had to stop and gaze in wonderment at this when I happened to pass by the window today. Is it nice? I mean I actually like the colour, but the neck puts me in mind of when I "converted" a round neck jumper to a v neck when I was about 13.

It was deemed chic by the Sunday Times this week. Unusual but looks ok on the model.pricey for poly though

AnyFucker · 03/06/2013 22:44

I wouldn't sit too close to the Gas fire in that

ivanapoo · 03/06/2013 22:44

It reminds me of an anus.

FarleyD · 03/06/2013 22:46

A drawstring anus ivanapoo? Smile. The mind boggles.

With a name like that, I think Ivanspoo knows what she's talking about.

CatelynStark · 03/06/2013 22:50

Oh dear - I really hate it! It looks like a massive mooncup bag to me.

earwig1 · 03/06/2013 22:57

it's 100% polyester!

cornypedicure · 03/06/2013 22:59

I love the colour. It could be nice if it wasn't for the neck line.

aftermay · 03/06/2013 23:06

Corny - the price tag doesn't help its image much either.

deleted203 · 03/06/2013 23:09

It's fairly ugly. It looks ok on the model, but then so would a bin liner. Quite frankly it looks like a Y9 needlework project that they didn't score too highly in...

ShotgunNotDoingThePans · 03/06/2013 23:09

I made a cloak for DS2 from an old curtain years ago. Neckline looked rather like that.
It would only flatter a shapeless person - but that seems to be par for the course nowadays.

Snazzywaitingforsummer · 03/06/2013 23:13

£225 for a 100% polyester garment that looks like you made it yourself at school? They're having a laugh. I salute the photographer and model for making it look halfway reasonable but there's no way that could be replicated in a normal everyday situation.

MustafaCake · 03/06/2013 23:21

Really like the style and colour but I'd sweat like a pig in 100% polyester.

cornypedicure · 03/06/2013 23:25

blimey I hadn't noticed the price Shock

Pumpkinette · 04/06/2013 00:26

Horrible colour, shapeless, weird neckline , overpriced, polyester and dry clean only.

No your right its horrible but then again I think a lot of the 'fashion' that's out just now looks stupid. Maybe I'm out of touch too.

KikeriFreedomCastle · 04/06/2013 00:33

It looks like somebody rustled it up out of an old pillowcase or curtain.

bishboschone · 04/06/2013 10:09

It's very vb but that's means it will look shite on most of jaeger s demographic .

Lavenderhoney · 04/06/2013 10:26

Horrible colour, might work as a nail varnish though.

Otherwise its a shapeless shift dress with a dodgy neckline. Might work in jersey material.

The cut is dreadful too. It's a lot of money!

Keztrel · 04/06/2013 10:32

You are not wrong OP, it's properly hideous.

ThreeDudesOnABus · 04/06/2013 10:53

225 notes for a Barbie's pillow-case? Jesus wept.

freddiefrog · 04/06/2013 12:29

I like it but I don't £225 like it

Not keen on the colour

noddyholder · 04/06/2013 12:29

I love it

OnTheNingNangNong · 04/06/2013 12:37

It's hideous! I made a drawstring bag in year 8 that was finished nicer than that. It was 100% cotton too.

Ridiculously overpriced.

Startail · 04/06/2013 12:41

Yuck
Republic were desperately discounting a bright coloured polyester dress. It wasn't selling at £20, I can't imagine one will sell at £225

KikeriFreedomCastle · 04/06/2013 12:54

They've snipped the bottom off to make a blouse too.
