Tried this on today and loved it. Just ordered the petite version.

Lovely jersey and as its slim fitting, tis flattering on those of us who aren't 5ft 10.

Link doesn't work for me. Interested though as I'm short and was thinking of a maxi skirt!

choceyes · 03/06/2013 20:13

Oh it does work. It's lovely! What do you wear with it? A black vest type top?

tethersend · 03/06/2013 20:15

Link doesn't work for me...

AgentProvocateur · 03/06/2013 20:15

I can't get link to work either, but I'm also very interested in a petite maxi skirt. What height are you, OP?

AgentProvocateur · 03/06/2013 20:16

Link working now, but it's out of stock. And has horizontal lines - not only am I short, I'm fat too! Wouldn't work for me.

IsThatTrue · 03/06/2013 20:17

It worked for me 2nd time but says out of stock

MrsCampbellBlack · 03/06/2013 20:18

DP site is shite at working in IE - I always have to use mozilla.

I am a lofty 5 ft nothing.

Its the navy stripe maxi skirt.

I tried it on with navy vest top and it looked very nice, especially when I shoved my denim jacket on top.

Very nice. I have a Gap one from last year but I like this one better.

southeastastra · 03/06/2013 20:20

i love their jersey skirts as well, they look good and aren't really thin. also have the stripey long (not maxi) dress, really good!

MrsCampbellBlack · 03/06/2013 20:22

Remus - I thought of you when I saw it. They had plain navy and black too.

Southeast - I think DP jersey stuff is really good quality especially for the money.

I looked at the midi ones last week but thought they seemed v thin compared to the Topshop ones. That one looks good though.

MrsCampbellBlack · 03/06/2013 20:26

I saw a woman wearing it in the shop (outfit at the retail park - glamour!) and had to ask where it was from and then shamelessly copy her.

MrsCampbellBlack · 03/06/2013 20:27

I tried the midi one one - oh dear, I can not do that length.

Looks great. I made a pencil skirt based on this blog mimigoodwin.blogspot.co.uk/2012/03/diy-pencil-skirt-start-to-finish.html from a similar material - honestly it was the easiest thing in the world to sew (I did it by hand as machine not working), and it looks great, i am planning to do another in stretch denim. I used up the excess material to make a maxi skirt which is oK but I haven't quite got the shaping right.

happyreindeer · 03/06/2013 20:30

How does it fasten at waist?

vintagecakeisstillnice · 03/06/2013 20:30

I read your OP as

Lovely maxi dress ON DP

And thought how lovely and open minded Grin

Nehru · 03/06/2013 20:31

lolat people in REAL LIFE being petite

I always curse you all when i wander into your section in error

CB that was the type I had for Henley - remember? Mine was phase eight and i LOVED it despite being meh about maxi

Nehru · 03/06/2013 20:32

i have had a slightly shameful Indigo collection purchase I tried to share with you on twitter

YES i know i have let the whole school down

Nehru · 03/06/2013 20:33

it is out of stock you fecker

landofsoapandglory · 03/06/2013 20:33

I have one similar to that from DP that I bought last year. The stripes are wider and it has two side splits, I wore it today with a navy boat neck t-shirt. DH came in from work and told me I looked lovely, and that he loved my skirt. I love the skirt too, it is so comfy and flattering.

I bought a couple of the t-shirt maxi dresses from DP in the Petite range this year these, they are really flattering too.

Nehru · 03/06/2013 20:39

christ land!

thats an event from any h!

MrsCampbellBlack · 03/06/2013 20:40

I am laughing at DP in a maxi Smile

There were loads in normal sizes in the lovely Outfit today.

Nehru - I also thought of you and your phase 8 one - god, I was doing a lot of thinking about mn'ers today Wink

I think maxi skirts are easier than dresses and more forgiving.

Land - I had a couple of the maxi dresses a couple of years back and loved them.

Nehru - what indigo purchase?

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 03/06/2013 20:41

I like the t-shirt dresses on the hanger, but have never dared try them on! Mrs CB is super-skinny, but does anybody on here have norks and/or a tummy and still rate them?

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 03/06/2013 20:41

Yup - agree that skirts are easier to wear.
