Would you go the 'full trollop'?

Have a wedding coming up, which is exciting for two reasons:

  1. friend marrying a gazillionaire, so a rare occasion for me to pretend to be fancy
  2. is old school friend, so will be seeing lots of people I haven't seen for many years and certainly not post-children.

So, would you wear the Ghost dress - navy, patterned, perfectly nice, but safe?

Or the Acne dress - pink silk, quite out there - not slutty in a TOWIE way, but will probably require tape to avoid side-boob.

I probably should have seen the light at the words 'side-boob', but WWYD?

COuld you link to them?

ProjectGainsborough · 20/05/2013 17:10

Will try to find pics, hang on.

no side boob -- you can do stunning without worrying about wardrobe malfunction.

I vote neither without having seen the pictures.

MrsLettuce · 20/05/2013 17:15

'fraid I'm tending that way too but didn't want to be harsh before the fact Wink

SofaCanary · 20/05/2013 17:21

I'd be tempted to tart it up but listen to the sensible people not me Grin

ProjectGainsborough · 20/05/2013 17:21

Acne dress

(Looks nicer on a body, I think)

Ghost dress

Can't find a pic of the same pattern though - mine is navy squares, faintly tribally...

Goddammit. No trollop??

MrsLettuce · 20/05/2013 17:23

Oooh. The pink one!

OnTheBottomWithAWomansWeekly · 20/05/2013 17:24

Personally I'd go for something like the Ghost dress, but scarlet!
(inner slapper dying to come out...)

EldonAve · 20/05/2013 17:25

Acne

Damnautocorrect · 20/05/2013 17:25

Pink one!

VitoCorleone · 20/05/2013 17:26

The pink one, thats what i would wear anyway

bollockstoit · 20/05/2013 17:27

Definitely the pink one

EldritchCleavage · 20/05/2013 17:28

Acne, but only if you genuinely feel comfortable in it and won't spend the day yanking it because of side-boob anxiety.

bulletwithbutterflywings · 20/05/2013 17:30

I vote pink! The ghost one looks like a natwest uniform.

Awks · 20/05/2013 17:30

Pink one's lovely

tribpot · 20/05/2013 17:30

The colour of the pink dress is lovely, but I'm trying to visualise the potential for side-boobage. Are those long flappy bits entirely open to public view? Surely not!

Onesleeptillwembley · 20/05/2013 17:30

the pink one looks a bit 'sack' - y, would need to see it on. The other isn't a 'function' dress, but I really like it for other things, very reasonable price, as well.

noddyholder · 20/05/2013 17:31

Love the acne one but would have to be in great shape to wear that!

turkeyboots · 20/05/2013 17:32

Pink one.

ProjectGainsborough · 20/05/2013 17:32

Yaaay!

I have no mind of my own, so I genuinely am just going to do whatever MN tells me.

So... next question. Has anyone ever forayed into the world of the stick on bra? Or does anyone have any sage advice on that front. They aren't huge but I can't go braless.

Bringbring · 20/05/2013 17:33

Pink one (with nude vest underneath?)

The place for a nip slip is not at a wedding.

YoniMontana · 20/05/2013 17:34

Pink one!

Annianni · 20/05/2013 17:34

Acne dress.

ProjectGainsborough · 20/05/2013 17:34

Yes noddy. Plan to 5 2 like a maniac to shed the last bits of baby weight. It's a good incentive, seeing everyone who ever knew you when you were 19 and lithe...
