Please dress me for 2 days in Paris & 2 days in Disneyland!

I've totally lost my way with clothes. I can do smart and elegant quite well and like wearing dresses but casual totally eludes me.

Can anyone please suggest a couple of outfits smart enough for Paris, but also practical for sightseeing with 2 small children and for then going on the Disneyland in? I'm 5' 3", a flat-chested size 8 and blonde.

A linen knit jumper should be fine - not like trousers.

Nehru · 20/05/2013 20:33

fair dos.
I cant have chinky due to the jacket I have. need finio without cling

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 20/05/2013 20:39

Which jacket?

I like this for a thin jumper I'd wear it with a longer vest peeping out in a different colour.

And I have and really like this one but I don't think you like stripes iirc

Nehru · 20/05/2013 20:40

tesco waxed jacket

i am all about the glamma

Nehru · 20/05/2013 20:40

you freak reeemy I am like a crack addict with stripes

Nehru · 20/05/2013 20:42

i like both - might be a bit high necked...

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 20/05/2013 20:44

Are you? What about all your po-face comments on Breton top threads then, oh inconstant one? :)

Agree the Warehouse one prob a bit high. The M&S one works fine on my super-sized norks though (and I am hideously paranoid about them, so it takes a lot to satisfy me).

Nehru · 20/05/2013 20:46

its a stripey jumper

we BOTH know that

files nails

Nehru · 20/05/2013 20:46

oh really? right - will look

Nehru · 20/05/2013 20:47

what size? am boden 12 next 10 marks... who knows?

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 20/05/2013 20:47

:)

Try it on - it washes well and is cheap for not bad fabric. A change from the usual cashmillon gruesomeness in M&S.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 20/05/2013 20:48

I bought a 14 - am usually a 12 but I hate things being tight.

Nehru · 20/05/2013 20:48

YOU ARE ME

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 20/05/2013 20:51

:) Nice shape but white makes me look as if I've been dug up. I do like a bit of silk in things though.

Nehru · 20/05/2013 20:51

really? are you very fair?

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 20/05/2013 20:52

Dark hair but deathly pale skin.

TheHouseofMirth · 20/05/2013 23:12

Those Cos jumpers look nice but I wish they'd show everything on a model. I saw that stripy jumper in M&S today. 'tis nice actually.

Yes have got v.skinny jeans. Am going to go with jeans, leggings and navy, pale pink maybe this and khaki tops. And my effing Barbour

Think I'm going to get some of these Converse and a pair of pale pink ballet pumps.

F v link goes to home page.

BillStickersIsInnocent · 21/05/2013 07:25

Blimey you lot must be cold blooded/size zero. 24 degrees, jeans + jumpers + trainers whilst traipsing round busy city, in out of metro, museums etc.

I'd go bare legged (shorts probably) layers on top half.

Nehru · 21/05/2013 14:36

It's raining in Paris atm

TheHouseofMirth · 21/05/2013 16:37

It's bloody freezing in London. Not catching me in shorts.

Nehru FC top was the SUMMER SPELL PLEATED TOP and can someone please tell be if tose Converse things are OK? I look ridiculous in chunky trainers coz my feet are tiny.

Nehru · 21/05/2013 17:02

Yu fine

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 21/05/2013 17:46

The Converse are fine except if it chucks it down. I've just got these leather ones and must admit to being a bit in love with them. :)

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 21/05/2013 17:47

I like the top but tis expensive for polyester and you'll melt if it's even a bit warm.
