Please dress me for 2 days in Paris & 2 days in Disneyland!

I've totally lost my way with clothes. I can do smart and elegant quite well and like wearing dresses but casual totally eludes me.

Can anyone please suggest a couple of outfits smart enough for Paris, but also practical for sightseeing with 2 small children and for then going on the Disneyland in? I'm 5' 3", a flat-chested size 8 and blonde.

The Barbour is hardly the vision of chic I'd imagined myself to be.

house don't get upset. You really don't need to be chic for Disneyland. As for Paris, well maybe the locals are chic but you're going to be a tourist with 2 small dc. Just relax and enjoy x

For Disney, I'd suggest Crocs or FitFlops. They'll be comfortable for walking around in all day, and will survive any wet rides. Clothes wise, Craghoppers trousers - I like the ones with the zip off bottoms so they can turn into shorts if the weather turns nice. T shirts and a lightweight waterproof jacket - does it have to be a mac?

What will you be doing in Paris - just sight seeing? Shopping? Going to a posh restaurant?

We've just stepped off Eurostar after a fab, but exhausting, weekend there with the DCs. It was cooler than here and rained yesterday lateish afternoon. Forecast was much worse than reality.

We all wore layers and the DCs had small backbacks so they could carry water and put their raincoat away when the weather perked up. I'm so glad I snuck a small umbrella into DD's backpack. By early evening it was quite cool though so I was glad of my artfully tied scarf! When we went to the Louvre we all stripped off as it was boiling inside, so layers were really useful.

I wore nice jeans, t-shirts and cardi and scarf, along with my lightweight, packable Blacks raincoat. We ate in neighbourhood-style restaurants so were fine in casual clothes for eating out. By far the best decision for me was to wear my Clarks brogues. Usually my back is aching by mid afternoon, but I lasted all day and night, and we did a lot of walking. DDs wore trainers, as Crocs proved to be uncomfortable for all day.

Have a great time!

Jsut think if you were going to Legoland - would you be buying a new outfit?
just get a thinnish jumper or two, some nice t shirts
sunglasses a huge scarf and a pair of jeans with some shoes you can walk in.
Makeup
Hair

It's more Paris I'm panicking about. And it's more about the fact that I just cannot do smart casual and this trip has brought iit to a head. All my efforts at casual just end in scruffiness. And I'd like to look nice in our photos!

when I was in paris everyone was wearing ballet pumps and jeans or 7/8ths. i would wear that and a jacket/blazer with a scarf I think.

I have a navy mac too for cooler days - they're on sale in Gap atm.

and an umbrella for rain.

I like your trainers though nehru.

I find sometimes you need to wear different shoes day 2 just to rest your feet

Wtf are Craghoppers?

Crocs are banned everywhere on earth, surely?

How about Converse or Dunlops or something else of that old school ilk? Can shove an insole in if you need more padding.

That Jigsaw jumper is nice but you can get nice jumpers much more cheaply than that.

Not cheap but cheaper

And here

Super cheap
