Zatchels are having a 24 hour 50% off sale tomorrow. It's advertised on their Facebook page. I'm tempted but don't know whether to go for a classic colour (probably the navy) or one of the metallics. Has anyone ordered from them and could you recommend a colour? Thanks!

I'm still waiting, rather miffed as the money has been taken from my account with no sign of a despatch date! Isn't it usual for money to be taken upon despatch?

They are a complete shambles..... I ordered on Sat morning and still nothing. Moving house on Weds so have been emailing them for over ten days now to ask rm to change the delivery address if the order is going to be dispatched after that day, and nothing. I tried ringing them and they don't even answer the phone any more, just a recorded message telling you to email.

Appalling customer service.

I agree about the customer service! I received a bag that I didn't order and I want to send it back to me but they won't send me a return label! HmmNo way am I send that huge box back at my own expense!

What am I going to do with the bag? I don't like it, didn't order it and don't want it!

I've moved from "pending" to "printed" today...
Pink that seems a bit odd as you didn't order the item!
Try asking publicly on their fb page?

I did put an item in my bag but the website crashed and it didn't complete.

It wasn't the item they sent though, the bag they sent is hideous!

That's appalling Pinkflipflop. There is no way they cannot cover the return postage cost.

Hmm, starting to worry now. They HEAVILY promoted the sale, then extended it for a second day. They really cannot turn around and say they've been overwhelmed with the orders. They knew what they were letting themselves in for.

Have emailed customer service twice, no reply. Tried phoning but it says to email.....
Order went in 20th April, money taken but nothing and no communication. I will never order anything from them in the future.

It's not a good sign that they aren't answering the phone any more, is it? And their FB page is full of complaints they aren't dealing with. Is it possible they're close to administration or are they just overwhelmed after poor planning?

Oh no I am concerned! They sent me the wrong back and said they would refund the return postage cost. It was £8 to return it! So now I have paid for a bag that I don't have and am £8 out of pocket! I am going to seemed they have charged me for my other orders before they have sent them.

I just rang and got straight through (to James) who was very helpful and is making sure the bag I need for a birthday present makes it to me in time. Apparently they are just struggling with the backlog both of orders to be made and orders waiting to be dispatched. Fingers crossed he is as efficient as he sounds!

Hi,

We've just heard about the thread here from a customer and I wanted to chime in and hopefully reassure people who ordered.

Firstly everybody who ordered during the sale will get their bags, it is just taking longer than usual due to the large number of orders. While we normally make and dispatch bags within 10 days some of the sale orders are taking a lot longer than that. All of our bags are handmade to order so getting so many through the factory is taking some time, that said we are sending out hundreds of orders every day!

We are struggling to respond to all of the customer service enquiries we are getting at the moment both on the phone, email and on facebook and twitter. We are only a small team so if the phone is busy or it takes a few days to reply to your emails then please bear with us we will get back to you eventually.

In the meantime thank you for your patience!

A bit more info on returns:

If you have ordered and we have unfortunately sent you the wrong bag or doesn't have the options you specified then don't worry. Any errors on our part will be sorted out free of charge. Just send the bag back in the original packaging and let us know how much the postage was. We will then refund it for you and send you out a replacement bag.

As mentioned above we are getting a lot of emails at the moment so if you are returning a bag make sure you email [email protected] and it may take us a few days to get back to you.

I have to say the customer service I have received from Zatchels has been excellent.

I ordered five bags in total in three separate orders, they have refunded two sets of £5.99 postage and I have received two of the bags and the other three are still in the process of being made and are well within the stated time of being made and delivered.
