Crocs!

Am I the only person wearing Crocs this summer? They are basically grown-up jelly shoes, or rubber clogs. Look a bit daft, but they are SO comfy! Honestly, once you've tried a pair on you won't be wearing anything else.

Fimbo · 10/05/2006 11:36

Wow - they look interesting, and they can go in the washing machine - great for kids. Are they really comfortable, Celery?

Fimbo · 10/05/2006 11:40

\link{http://www.crocs.com/home.jsp\Beautiful!}. If you want to seem them in rl, Millets have them.

Celery · 10/05/2006 11:42

Really really comfortable! Mine arrived yesterday morning, and I'm wearing around the house instead of going bare foot - haven't taken them off. They have little bumps on the inside which massage your feet.

all except the filp flops are yeuky they look like gardening slip-ons you see in the sunday supplements.
and I can't do toe posts.

expatinscotland · 10/05/2006 11:45

i have a version of them from an American shop called Target en route. mine have lovely flowers on them.

got some for DD1, too.

scotlou · 10/05/2006 11:45

How wide are they? I have narrow, shallow feet. They look good for me since they have a heel strap to keep them on - but if they are really wide they would be useless.

Celery · 10/05/2006 11:46

Gardening slip-ons, lol yes, that's what I thought, but in real life they are more like clogs, and I know I keep going on about it, they are SO COMFY!! They're very popular here in Cowes, with the yachties

OP posts:
Fimbo · 10/05/2006 11:47

My dd is coveting them.

Celery · 10/05/2006 11:47

Yeah, they are quite wide - I have narrow feet too, and the strap helps a lot

OP posts:
expatinscotland · 10/05/2006 11:48

i'd never heard of them, but saw them advertised as 'water clogs' and thought they were cute.

Twinkie1 · 10/05/2006 11:50

Didn't know that anyone made shoes that ugly!!!

What are you thinking of walking around in such monstrosities???

Get yourself down to Birkenstocks straight away!!!

Celery · 10/05/2006 11:51

Birkenstocks are SO last year Wink

OP posts:
Northerner · 10/05/2006 11:53

Sorry guy's but they are hideous

Remove this from the style section immediatley.

JackieNo · 10/05/2006 11:53

The website says that the 'Cayman' model is narrower than the first one on the list.

Kelly1978 · 10/05/2006 11:54

think they look v ugly and seriousy uncomfortable. Surely when it gets really hot your feet are going to sweat bucket loads?

Twinkie1 · 10/05/2006 11:55

Jellies for adults are so NEVER

Celery · 10/05/2006 11:56

Okay, don't believe me then! Wink

Remember, you saw them here first, lol.

OP posts:
scotlou · 10/05/2006 12:17

I don't care what they look like! I just need something that'll be comfy and will stay on my feet! (and isn't boots or trainers!)

Lilliput · 10/05/2006 22:58

My dh bought a pair last October in Totnes in Devon which is home to a number of comfy cornish pasty type shoe shops. I then coveted them a got a pair for xmas. They are SOOOO comfy but admittedly quite silly looking. I tend to wear mine about the house instead of slippers. Love them!!

saffy202 · 11/05/2006 11:34

for comfy flip flops I recommend Havaianas - wore them to death last year instead of my Birkenstocks. TX Maxx had some in last week and I grabbed another pair. They have a toe-post but they don't chafe at all :)

Frenchgirl · 11/05/2006 11:51

eeeeeeeewwwwwwwwww

sorry but could never possibly consider wearing anything like that

even for a joke
