If you want exfoliation..better than a peel imo get a dermaflannel!

Amazing , i've been using glycolic home peel occassionally and glycolic serum but this , used once has really made a difference!

I used it last night and this am i have a few teeny whiteheads between my brows that have obviously been lurking under the skin .

I got it for blackheads and blocked pores and you're meant to use it nightly for that, says it takes a few times to really see the difference.

Thought I'd share my new wonder flannel, looks like a normal flannel but when you use it it feels very different.

Another purchase made.

Thaaaaaaaaanks

SpeccyBat · 10/03/2013 01:03

Me too!
I have such spotty skin, not acne, but spotty on t-zone and now on my ageing and wrinkly neck
I use roche possay fash wash for greasy skin - which is good at controlling it, but not well enough. Do I wash still with this?

nowrinklesonamelon · 10/03/2013 08:20

So - - on MN advice I spent a ridiculous amount on a bit of dimpled mint green cloth - - have used it three times now and there is a big difference ! my skin feels clean and glowing - especially on the neck and chest which were getting a bit well crepey - - old if I'm honest -
rest of body to be done now . . .I may need another one . . . . . . . .

ggirl · 10/03/2013 09:30

speccybat-you carry on cleaning your skin in your normal way ,the cloth is for exfoliation after cleaning

dolly- don't know ,maybe just scrub a bit harder, or your skin is not in need of exfoliation??

i've ordered mine. i shall report back. baaaa

(this is why i only come onto s&b when i have cash...then it quickly goes!)

Charliefox · 10/03/2013 11:20

My chin is now bright red and covered in a peeling rash. Tres attractive. Will keep going but I feel like I've got 2nd degree burns on my face.

tharsheblows · 10/03/2013 12:27

Oh no Charliefox! Did you scrub really hard? I tried mine last night and except for an extra spot or two where there were some coming out anyway* it's fine.

I also got the 10% glycolic acid moisturiser which burns, baby, burns. I love it.

*why do I get spots every time I get my lip threaded or waxed? How can I avoid them? Should I start a new thread on this or does someone here know?

gracelesslady · 10/03/2013 12:57

So.... I've tried it twice (day, maybe two between scrubbings) and like dolly my skin feels pretty normal. Like how it was before. Some spotty bits, some flaky bits. Not terrible but def not brilliant. Do I need to be more vigorous??? Was a bit afraid of looking bright red...

gracelesslady · 10/03/2013 12:59

Tharsheblows, I think good exfoliation before you wax, and then try some Tend Skin (no idea how to link to it but you can get it from amazon) immediately afterwards. Tis amazing stuff. And sudocrem on existing spots. HTH xx

ToothGah · 10/03/2013 14:04

Got inspired reading this thread and thought "aha, I have some microfibre cloths in the cupboard, I wonder...."

I used the yellow one from this pack that actually came from Poundland!

My skin is fantastic, really smooth, I don't know why I haven't thought of this before.

Can't believe it, all for a 33p cloth. Will be using it from now on.

Would be interested to hear if anyone else has some of these in the cupboard and could compare it with the dermaflannel?

sarahandduck · 10/03/2013 14:56

I have one of these and I used it on my dry, scaly knees. No amount of body scrubs, etc would remove the dry skin, but what do you know...just once with this flannel and they are so smooth. I am def going to get another..one for face, another for body. This is my best buy of the year so far. Thanks for the recommendation.

SpeccyBat · 10/03/2013 20:19

Anyone else with more to report? Mine not arrived yet and I'm a tad nervous gotto admit.

Desperate though cos skin is in need of help. Got an attractive cluster
Of spots on neck/jawline that need tackling.

valiumredhead · 11/03/2013 10:05

tooth my QVC ones were just microfibre too - they worked but weren't cottton and washed really badly. Will try a cotton one and see if it works.

Charliefox · 12/03/2013 20:18

I'm still persevering. I'm still breaking out in spotty, rashy skin. And Im still hoping for a miracle!

ggirl · 12/03/2013 21:24

I rubbed the corners of my mouth to buggery , have a raw spot there now..v attractive.
I think it takes a while for the spots to crop and then be harvested to end up with lovely smooth spot-free skin.

I have given my skin a rest now for a few days.

I have sensitive skin that is prone to excema - will the cloth book if used VERY gently?

LovingTheSunshine · 13/03/2013 10:18

*will the cloth be ok if used VERY gently?

lurkingfromhome · 13/03/2013 16:58

Mine arrived today! Would I sound very sad if I told you I am actually very excited about washing my face tonight (with what looks like a mint-green piece of boiled rag)? Grin

ThePathanKhansAmnesiac · 13/03/2013 17:18

I gonna have to get one.

anneriordan · 13/03/2013 17:36

hmm, so how often do you use it? Intrigued but wary because the website says "use sunscreen/avoid sun while using" and I am very pale and careful scared of the sun, using ultrasun factor 30 all year round and the clarins stuff on my eyes yes I do take Vit D supplements don't worry. Maybe this could be a once a month thing? Don't have problem skin but it could be clearer/brighter (or twenty years younger, bah)
First time trying the fancy text adjustments in the "emphasis" list so sorry if this just comes out like one of the cats walked across my keyboard

Charliefox · 13/03/2013 19:05

Ok, so my skin is getting better. The peeling and flakiness is gradually going. Have used it every other day and I actually do think my skin is looking brighter and more glowy! Yey for me. Result!

ggirl · 13/03/2013 19:15

not sure about using it on eczema..maybe email them to ask ,i should imagine very gently it'll be fine

i def use sunscreen now

i was using it everyday for a week or so but now and prob doing it less so
