I want a blush evening gown/wedding dress - you lot are my only hope!

Hi all. Mostly lurk on these boards and post occasionally. Really need help finding a dress to wear for my wedding in a few months' time.

I've decided I'd love to wear a blush/nude/palest pink dress and I want it to be long and vaguely bohemian, if that doesn't sound too wanky. The problem is size (sort of) and budget. I am very teeny and petite and am finding that many Gown (capital G) type dresses come up quite large in sizes. The length doesn't bother me, I'll just wear giant heels, but the size is trickier. I ordered this dressBand of Outsiders in a size 1 and although it's stunning, the fit wasn't quite right.

Have ANY of you seen a similiar type dress anywhere? Or can you recommend sites that do small sizes? (I'm a 6-8 UK size.) My budget would be about 450 pounds, 500 absolute max, but ideally much much MUCH cheaper. I don't want a meringue, and I don't want to have to pay fuckloads in import tax from the US.

Flowers in advance

God it's a minefield, isn't it. There are some truly gorgeous frocks out there. Hard to know, hard to know. Hope that some bridal lurkers have gotten some inspiration from this thread at least

Update

I've ordered the JCrew Arabelle in Misty Rose. In the end I felt that its simplicity would work best on my short frame. Hoping to go with the 'undone hair' look JumpHerWho mentions!

It looks like a lovely dress - the champagne, misty rose, graphite and dusty shale shades in particular had me drooling. Really really hope it works out. I will update either way!

thank you again to all Flowers. So many lovely dresses were shared on this thread!

Yay! Do we get a sneaky pic of you in it when it arrives please?

I had a classic meringue, wish I'd been more adventurous.

Ok folks.

The J Crew dress has arrived and I have tried it on. First, though, I need to tell you that I also panic-ordered that beautiful Halston dress that many of you linked to, and by coincidence, both arrived today. I wanted to have them both to try on and compare and contrast in the hope that one would be the clear winner.

The Halston arrived first. It is a beauteous dress. Lovely heavy silk, the material falls gracefully - all in all, the draping's very Ancient Greek and just fab. The neckline is way deeper than I'd be comfortable with but I ordered a lace bralette thing to go underneath it and that actually looked really pretty. The tie waist is somewhat problematic: the sash is very long and it's kind of a case of 'what-do-I-do-with-this'? And something about the way the dress hangs once tied made me feel that the face-on view is not as flattering as it could be. (The side view is fabulous.) But I felt that I could make it work with a little tweaking.

Then the J Crew. It's much lighter than the Halston, really feathery chiffon. And? I LOVE IT. I'd been worried that it would be too pink in RL, but it's not: it's exactly the same shade as the Halston and just what I wanted. Even though it's a Petite dress, it's still long enough to feel event-length. I had been thinking of wearing it bra-less but there is a tiny bit too much room in the bodice for this. Tried it on with a strapless bra and it's perfect - comfortable and doesn't leave me feeling like I have to keep hoicking it up to hide the bra or anything. So all I need to do now is get a really good strapless bra.

So that's it, decision made. Thanks again to everyone Flowers

I actually had something already that's not a million miles from that, JumpHer, I uploaded a pic to my profile, see if you can see it. Excuse the wanky pose and the dreadful mess but I needed to take a pic to see what the dress looked like properly iykwim. hair will probably be up.
Shoes suggestions welcome!
