Small boy-proof Autumn/WInter V neck tops ideas needed

Hello

As some of you may know, I now live in Australia. Sunny? Yes. Lots of Fresh Air? Yes. Good at sports? Yes. Decent fashion stores? NO! Angry

I just don't know where to start with buying clothes, I can't find a store that is targeted at my age (30s) without ending up being frumpy or mutton.

I need V necks, preferably slightly tailored as my norks are bigger than my waist, and the tops need to go with jeans and casual trousers and stand up to chasing small boys round adventure playgrounds and being jumped on at that difficult hour between tea and bath.

What, in that vein, has served you well? Ideas please

Do you have Zara in Oz?

I just got a v-neck wrap style top in their basics range, 3/4 length sleeves, lots of colours, quite thick cotton with a bit of lycra.

The kind of thing you could buy 3 in different colours & they would be a real warderobe staple.

What shops do you have?

bundle · 27/04/2006 15:36

the gap autumn collection was in last night's standard and it was v french 1960s, lots of deep v sweaters/tanktops with layers, some diaphanous blousy things sticking out a bit, plus straight (not skinny) jeans, etc. looked v nice. with beret at jaunty angle

suzywong · 27/04/2006 15:37

Gosh that sounds IDEAL, I like a bit of lycra

There is NOTHING here, nothing like that, well actually that's not true there is a Kookai, but that is for girls and a Jigsaw but that's a bit too smart

Any one got any more links to pictures so I can get a mental picture?
