what to wear to a very small last minute wedding

Best friend has suddenly decided to get married. It's going to be a tiny wedding (just 4 guests) and a small party afterwards.

Im going to be a witness so want to look nice.

Im 5ft6 ish, long red hair, size 10, biggish of boob. Will put a pic on profile if needed.

Would prefer skirt and top if poss, dress would do.

TIA.

A photo is always handy.

Are you a red readhead or a green redhead, IYSWIM. And, is the 100 inc. / excl. shoes and bag and all that palava?

Will have a preliminary rummage anyway.

Oh, and chances are you'd get better value for money on a dress than separates. Is it that you prefer them or because of the norkage?

MikeLitoris · 29/01/2013 21:39

I'm a bright from a bottle red head Grin

tbh I will probably be a brunette before the wedding.

I just fancied a top and skirt for a change. wear dresses quite a lot.

pic on profile but doesn't show my hair colour as it is now.

this and this, oh, this is liek what it's styled with. another pencil skirt
this and this with bright acessories

notMarlene · 29/01/2013 21:45

So, are you dead young or just blessed with excellent genes?

notMarlene · 29/01/2013 21:46

Far too young (looking?) for that pepperberry blouse whose skirt I've lost!

MikeLitoris · 29/01/2013 21:48

Grin I'm 30 (21 if anyone asks)

love the black and white pencil skirt. that is in basket ready to be bought.

Grin

plain body
top? Your norkage looks a 12 at most, is that right? The neckline is fine for that.
this would be good but needs a cami or the like, this would do.

Should I be looking at acessories?

notMarlene · 29/01/2013 22:13

this in teal with this

MikeLitoris · 29/01/2013 22:19

Top size depends on shop tbh.

In a 32E

really like that blouse. I'm very tempted.

I have some lovely black block heel shoes (not as heavy as they sound) that would look perfect.

Teal is lovely but I dont think it would be very flattering on my jelly belly.

OP posts:
notMarlene · 29/01/2013 22:33

No the teat not so good with tummy. It looked vey flat in the photo Smile

The blouse would be grand with the skirt I think, maybe a back-up would be wise in case the transparency is odd with the skirt but I don't think it will be. Looks like the sort of blouse that it'd be easy to get a lot of wear out of. Shoes sound like they'd work. Do you have a bag? nude would be nice or maybe a bit of colour.

Are you sure you're a 32 band? Is maybe a bit big for a size 10 frame. Band size = actual underbust measurement. Anyway, was just asking because of the higher neckline and matronlyness disease danger with BIG boobs and a high neck.

MikeLitoris · 29/01/2013 22:42

Was definitely a 32 at last fitting. I vary in size from an 8 to a 10 depending on outfit/shop etc.

I think that pic was just a lucky one! Grin

Im ordering the blouse and skirt.

Nude bag is good too. I have a similar one, slightly bigger. Will wait for delivery before deciding on accessories.

And when I win the lotto you can come and be my personal shopper.

Nah, you know what you like an you clearly have good taste Wink

A bigger bag would be better really. DP often have nice oversized clutches if your doesn't work. Oh, and borrowing jewelery is always a good plan, if you can.

who fitted you, 32 is really quite suspicious if you verge on an 8

MikeLitoris · 30/01/2013 08:55

Debenhams for bras. Is it worth shopping around a few different places?

They dont feel uncomfy.

OP posts:
notMarlene · 30/01/2013 12:15

They might be fine - just measure under your bust, if it's less than 32/31 then the band is too big and a trip to bravissimo is in order.

MikeLitoris · 30/01/2013 14:48

Will measure when Im home.

Im having second thoughts on the blouse. Maybe a bit to baggy?

I'm off shopping sat so will take the skirt with me to have a look.
