No one says this in rl. They say "a stripey t shirt " fgs

Ah that makes sense. Maybe shell in US is the nicer one and in the UK the track suit type one.

faustina · 27/01/2013 19:23

shell suit is something else altogether!

I do quite like your posts MarueenShit, but please don't put off the regulars on here. Style and Beauty is my hiding place for glorious shallowness when things are rubbish. Nothing so soothing as a handbag thread - and oh I do wish you would all come back, A&W people. I miss you!

mirpuppet · 27/01/2013 19:26

I assume Maureen is just having a good time. No one could really be so unpleasant in real life Wink

TheFallenMadonna · 27/01/2013 19:30

It's not the slim bit. It's the singular. Trouser. Why?

blossoming · 27/01/2013 19:33

I see on active convos there is a thread about the online abuse of women. Is it about this one? For the wearing of a breton top?

dexter73 · 27/01/2013 19:40

This has been about the most popular thread on the S&B board today so Maureen must be doing something right, much more replies than any of the threads about shoes and handbags!

CHOOGIRL · 27/01/2013 19:40

Bloss I always think of you when breton tops are mentioned. I still have my Jigsaw ones that are going strong and they must be three years old.

PretzelTime · 27/01/2013 19:41

Nah blossoming no one here is being threatened as a result of wearing bretons.

I really like the magenta/blue one - but wow that's one expensive stripey top!Shock

Smile Dona, I agree - certain forums have their own lingo - and while it can sometimes get tiresome to see it repeated and rehashed it serves a purpose.
I really dislike when some
Of the blogs over do the flowery descriptions and lines from
Vogue - only to show us the same outfit as last week but in different colours with a different scarf !) but hey fashions about following too I suppose

dexter73 · 27/01/2013 19:45

Well that may be Amber but we are all still here buzzing away!

MissBeehivingUnderTheMistletoe · 27/01/2013 19:48

Or bees round a honeypot Wink

AmberNectarine · 27/01/2013 19:50

Trufax dexter, I'm as bad as any of us.

browneyedpixie · 27/01/2013 20:08

Love my Bretons Grin

Drywhiteplease · 27/01/2013 21:35

Bit thick but what was A&W?

browneyedpixie · 27/01/2013 21:40

Autumn and winter

AmberNectarine · 27/01/2013 21:42

Avid and Wise, drywhite. We used to have a long-running thread on this board before we decamped.

Drywhiteplease · 27/01/2013 21:45

Where did you go? Sounds great? Could the wise- breton-wearing people return perhaps?

Oh Sad

AmberNectarine · 27/01/2013 22:09

Certainly not true when I was a part of it. I joined quite late in the game c. 18m after the start and was very much welcomed. I am lucky enough to count the ladies from the thread as good friends now.
