Hi,
Up until now, myself and dc have always made do with wellies but have decided to treat ourselves to some snow boots. Loads of choice for kids but apart from the really expensive lovely north face ones I've seen for myself, Im not sure if the shell type fabric ones are a bit 'old lady' ish. I have seen a few pairs that I like but am unsure if they are going to put 20 years on me!
Do you wear snow boots and if so, any recommendations would be appreciated.
X

Sorrel boots here. They are brilliant, v warm and give a good grip on ice.

sooo many lovely suggestions but I am leaning towards the Merrell Oslo's and Lands End Powder Run, both look warm and cosy as well as looking nice too - both more pricey than I had anticipated though Hmm
I think the Brucie bonus of these though is that they could be used as a warm winter boot, not just in the snow which is rapidly disappearing here! Am going to trawl tinternet to see if I can find anyone selling either of these a bit cheaper than what I've seen so far, am on a mission now!

Carrie, only just seen your reply, been on the lands end website and they've got my boots for £40 but only in cream or purple. The purple is nice but don't know if they're a bit bright for boots, anyone got that colour? Will keep watching the website in case the black or brown come up in my size, what a bargain

I bought some Romika Arktis black ones in the Shoon sale last year and they've been great. They're waterproof as well as fur-lined, and thick soled so keep the cold out.

I have a pair as I am going skking in two weeks...I have been wearing them for the last week...they are soooo comfy!

Some fur-topped Bearpaws from TK Maxx, they are a bit 'mum-boot' but they've coped with snow and slush really well. £40 in November IIRC.

I'm waiting for a pair of Sorels to arrive. I've also come to the conclusion that my feet won't grow anymore and I'm fed up with cold but dry (wellies) or warm (uggs) but not waterpoof.
I've seen so many people in normal ballet pumps this week.
