This could be a dietary or lifestyle change, or a product that really made an improvement.

wash with a clean very hot flannel and a cream cleanser every night and then moisturise. Everyone is going to give you different answers because everyone has different things that work for them.

SueFawley · 21/01/2013 18:49

Yes, I'm hoping for lots of different answers to get some new ideas for my skincare routine.

I have an Emma Hardie balm cleanser and cloth somewhere, unused, so it may be worth a try to start me off.

Roaccutane

WifeofPie · 21/01/2013 18:56

BCPs and jojoba oil (I cleanse and moisturize with it).

CointreauVersial · 21/01/2013 18:58

I use plain water for cleansing, nothing else.

It never made much sense to strip out the oils/moisture then put it back in again.

dashoflime · 21/01/2013 18:59

saunas are the only thing that sorts out my blackheads

Selks · 21/01/2013 18:59

Stopped smoking.

amothersplaceisinthewrong · 21/01/2013 18:59

Kept it out of the sun and not smoked.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 21/01/2013 19:00

I'm quite liking the el cheapo Superdrug Vitamin E OIl which was recommended on here. But I'd say that the best thing I've done is never smoked.

AGreenie · 21/01/2013 19:00

Microdermabrasion !
Did a 4 course session before my wedding and everyone commented how well my skin looked - should have kept up with it!

NotAnotherPackedLunch · 21/01/2013 19:00

Sunscreen every day.

Evizza · 21/01/2013 19:41

Stopped smoking Smile

oneforthemoney · 21/01/2013 19:42

Taking omega 3 every day

shopafrolic · 21/01/2013 19:42

Stopped smoking. Microdermabrasion. Taking my make up off religiously, even when drunk, every night since i started wearing it.

wriggletto · 21/01/2013 19:43

I use the Emma Hardie balm - it's lovely!

I'm lucky enough to have decent skin: I've never smoked, always used sunscreen, have SPF moisturiser, don't drink much, but the main factor is probably genetics - my mum could pass for 60-something, at 75. I've inherited her varicose veins too, mind

wriggletto · 21/01/2013 19:44

Sorry, that is both smug AND unhelpful... Blush

AlwaysSleepingBeauty · 21/01/2013 19:45

Roaccutane, the contraceptive pill, and those muslin cloths with a hot cloth cleanser. I don't get on with Liz Earle but love Soap and Glory, I find it is the cloth that makes the big difference though.

MrsCampbellBlack · 21/01/2013 19:47

Botox

And stopping drinking diet coke

minibmw2010 · 21/01/2013 19:48

Stop drinking as much Diet Coke (still drink some but not lots) and start using Estée Lauder Smile

PoppyWearer · 21/01/2013 19:48

Been to see a dermatologist.

MrsVJDay · 21/01/2013 19:49

Water!

PullyWoolOver · 21/01/2013 19:53

Cream cleanser and hot cloth, definitely.

Bought some Hydraluron serum recently which is making my face feel nice and firm and has got rid of fine lines. Sali Hughes raves about hyaluronic acid Grin

FrameyMcFrame · 21/01/2013 19:53

Stopped smoking
Eve primrose oil (got rid of hormonal acne for me)

PullyWoolOver · 21/01/2013 19:54

Oh, and making a conscious effort to drink more water!

orangeandlemons · 21/01/2013 19:56

Using moisturiser from 12 am late 40's now and people always comment on my skin and ask me what expensive moisturisers I use.

I use Boots cheapo stuff ( really cheap not even no 7 or 17)
