Okay. So this is what I want -

narrow legged black trousers, maybe 7 eights: not polyester / not designed for giants / not dry clean only

a cream, latte colour or v pale grey silk top with sleeves and some pretty detailing (could have a print providing it is tiny) but not cleavage revealing and not pussy bow

nice tights to wear with pencil skirts and heels

a deep burgundy scarf with a quirky black print but not leopard or skulls

a dress: waisted, mini-ish as in above the knee, cotton or cotton mix or silk, sleeves or no sleeves but loose enough to wear a t-shirt under. Don't care what colour but I want a nice print and I want to wear it either with biker boots or with tan heeled ankle boots and black or grey opaques

a black silk printed loose top to wear with skinnies

That'll do for now, thanks! :)

I didn't say that the top was for fat Austrians - I said that I would look like a fat Austrian man IN it! :)

I bought these trousers yesterday. Fit well, great quality and they can be machine washed at 30

Suspect it's not really what you want but will show you anyway fur burgundy scarf

This dress is absolutely gorgeous. I ordered it but had to return it as the top half was too big - it needs decent norks.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 19/01/2013 20:53

Like the dress but too £££ and I can't be faffed with dry clean. The trousers might work - will have a peep in HoF. Never heard of GD before. Scarf link not working.

Thank you.

Again with the scarf

Yes the dress is £££ - had saved a bit for a sales splurge and was gutted when it had to go back.

I picked up on GD from Amber - great stuff for work especially and the sale is mostly 60% off.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 19/01/2013 21:04

Scarf not what I'm looking for. Think more pasmina-ish but probably in cotton or a mix of some sort. Doesn't even have to burgundy tbh. I like a neutral or colour background with a black print.

Will certainly check out GD.

This dress looks perfect and is totally bargainous but out of stock

Is there a Massimo near you?

libertychick · 19/01/2013 21:15

Black print on a scarf surprisingly hard to find! This insect print is fab though the wrong sort of scarf...

libertychick · 19/01/2013 21:17

NW3 dress lovely - they may have it in a shop - I was in Hobbs the other day and saw a few sale things that were out of stock on website. I'm off to bed early as DD waking again at night...I thought this would be done with by 2! deluded

AmberNectarine · 19/01/2013 21:23

this scarf is quite nice!

lurkingaround · 19/01/2013 21:23

Do you like lace? Or this comes in pearl grey?

Anywhere near what's on your mind?

lurkingaround · 19/01/2013 21:24

Love that scarf.

NW3 dress in a 12... too big?

Turquoiseblue · 19/01/2013 22:27

this top is very lovely and bargainous. It arrived to me yesterday and I m very pleased. Maybe it

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 19/01/2013 22:36

I actually quite like that Miss S scarf, thanks Amber.

The lace shirt is utterly gorgeous - I love it - but I fear it would look frightful on my norks.

LOVE the draped top in grey.

Thanks for finding the Hobbs dress, Tethers. Am going to phone the store tomorrow first and see if they have it in stock. If not, I think I'll order it. Do you think that the waist detail will add a lot of bulk? Your other links aren't doing much for me, sorry.

That top is pretty, Blue. But I refuse to order online unless it's a shop like Hobbs where I know a 12 is likely to be the right size for me.

Good to know you're still my nemesis, Remus Grin

I just CANNOT get a handle on what you like.

I'm going to bow out now (I'll probably be back at 4am when DD wakes), but good luck Smile

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 19/01/2013 22:48

Oh btw - did you see that thread I started for you with a green pencil skirt last week?

OP posts:
MacaroniAndWalnut · 19/01/2013 22:51

Tethers. I think I love you and your super suggesting

You helped me one but I can't remember who I was then

I've just bough this phase eight number. It doesn't Doug your brief but it's batwingy / drapery flatteringly nice with skinnys

tethersend · 19/01/2013 22:56

Thanks Macaroni Smile

I missed your green pencil skirt thread, Remus... did you find one?!

MacaroniAndWalnut · 19/01/2013 22:58

Ah I see phase 8 not working for you do scrap that

Who is this Gerald Durrell to whom you are all linking? Not familiar with his work assuming he isn't of my family and other animals fame

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 19/01/2013 23:00

Topshop - green jersey, midi length - cheap as chips. I've got the black maxi version and absolutely love it, so might be worth a peek?

OP posts:
RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 19/01/2013 23:01

Thanks Macaroni. I'm just v paranoid about my norks and I think something like that would make them look rather matronly.

OP posts:
notMarlene · 19/01/2013 23:08

Tights: unbeatable with a pencil skirt and heels

notMarlene · 19/01/2013 23:15

blouse
blouse wrong colour but maybe OK
jumper very plain but utter bargain for silk & cashmere
