After reading the list of shops we don't go to, I'm wondering where you do all shop?

You know it's odd reading these lists...hardly anywhere I used to love is still any good, I mean what happened to Monsoon, it's nearly all dreadful now, and Gap really went downhill too, I don't understand why - it used to be amazing Sad

Topshop, Aubin & Wills, Whistles, Mango, Zara, Cos, French Connection, Oliver Bonas, Reiss, Banana Republic.

I buy basics like vest tops from New Look.

At the moment (poor artist) mainly charity shops and EBay. Brands I go for if I can find them = Topshop, White Stuff, Fat Face, Urban Outfitters, vintage. Would rather get good quality stuff second hand than cheaper stuff new. Obv would buy more/better clothes if I had more money!

It is, but the odd thing is that when they get it right, they really get it right. I have 3 things from there- a grey beaded chunky scarf, a blue and white striped maxi dress and a long gypsy skirt, and they are probably the 3 things that have been most commented on by randoms in a positive way. I also had another maxi dress which I wore as maternity wear, and I swear practically every pregnant woman would ask me where I got it.

So how can they make all those, but then also make a load of really horrible stuff?

The one thing I miss about not living in the UK is charity and vintage shops- well we do have them, but Chinese vintage stuff fits someone who is about 4'10'' and a Size 2, and sadly that ain't me.

Rikalally how is the sizing for everything5pounds.com? Do they come up small or big or just about right? I'm just about to order a dress & not sure whether to order my size or go up one to be on safe side!! Apology for hijack!!!

I wish we had nice little independent shops here - but there are only three and they have stock and attitude issues. I would shop there if I could. Instead I do it mostly all online at:

gap
jcrew
NAP
the outnet
toast
whistles (sometimes)
shoeaholics (amazing bargain shoes)
TK Maxx
Brora
Harrods and Selfridges occasionally
Liberty (not online for clothes)
ebay
primark for skinnies

HaveAGoodDay - The sizing tends to be pretty accurate on most things, if it has reviews of the item you can check them to see other peoples opinions.

I've ordered loads of stuff from there and the only thing that wasn't true to size was a pair of shoes, I'm a 4.5 so ordered a 5 but they were extremely narrow at the toe, so I added that to the review because if my 4.5 narroe feet don't fit a 5 then they are very narrow shoes, lol.
