Can I justify this much on a pair of boots ?

I have my eye on a pair of Noira Ugg boots.
They aren't the hideous slipper type ones they are actually leather. I have been given the money as a christmas present so don't want to get them if they aren't worth the money.

Anyone have any experience ??

With the first few posts I thought the boots must be really ugly. I had a look and they are pretty nice tbh.

I think they look v comfy and quite cool and if you love them you should definitely get them.:)

scottishmummy · 19/12/2012 19:46

it's lovely to have money to treat yourself
buy what you like, and if you like em,buy em
s&b threads are fun but I'd not chose items on basis on opinions here

I really like those merrell ones you linked to, anothercuppaplease.

QueenofPlaids · 19/12/2012 19:57

I have those and there really comfortable, warm & cosy. I would live in them given half a chance love them. I have a rather gorgeous pair of dressy boots & since I got these the dressier ones have hardly seen the light of day Xmas Smile

And to be honest, if you can afford it, I don't think it's that expensive for a pair of boots, but YMMV and obviously depends on your budget.

When I saw the title I was expecting to see studded Louboutins with a 6" stiletto heel Xmas Grin

OP, i have the Noira boots and they are lovely and comfortable. Warm and waterproof too. I figure that they will last me years, so cost per wear will be low.

daisydoodoo · 19/12/2012 20:07

I've got ugg Gillespie and they are fab only a little bit more money and I'm certain they will wear/last better than the noira.
Fwiw the noira are v bulky and unflattering.

lljkk · 19/12/2012 20:11

If you like them & can afford it then go for it, OP. Ignore the naysayers.

bishboschone · 19/12/2012 20:46

Daisy .. I was going to buy Gillespie next . Have you got black or brown ?

Bluestocking · 19/12/2012 20:54

If I had that amount of money to spend on a pair of boots, I would buy Dubarrys. They are beautiful and look as expensive as they are, which isn't the be-all and end-all, admittedly, but if you're going to pay £250+ for boots you might as well have something that looks all that!

daisydoodoo · 19/12/2012 21:32

I've got the black the lower ones not knee high. I like them a lot debating buying the brown ones too.

bishboschone · 19/12/2012 21:47

They are the ones I want but they are out of bloody stock everywhere on line . Sad

daisydoodoo · 20/12/2012 17:24

Online from the ugg direct. I got the black from there and ordered the brown today.
