Is my hair too long? With pics!

My Mother (whose opinion I shouldn't care about but do) is on the verge of making a hair appt for me when I go home at Christmas as she hates my long hair and has used the word 'witch' about it in the past Hmm

I haven't been to a hairdresser in well over a year. I love my hair long and hate hairdressers thanks to a history of unwanted dos and a deep fear of layered Mum cuts and sensible bobs. In my defence it is very thick and shiny.

I'm 32. Tell me MN, is my hair too long and do I look like a witch??

Agree myfirst, when I go to the hairdresser all the 'young uns' are like, "wow, your hair is so long!" and they want theirs to be too but have no patience Grin

I cut mine, it was waist length, my mum also went on about how witchy I looked. Shorter hair is great, but im natural long haired chica, and feel unlike myself....growing it now. Cut it only if you want to.

Right. You lot have convinced me! Screw my mother and her issues! I'm keeping it long!

Have made an appointment. Going to get a few inches off and hopefully a few of those low down layers that rockin suggested.

Not brave enough for the pink tips although I have been toying with the idea of bleaching a section at the front and dying it red/pink/purple. Hmmm.

Yes. It looks a bit curtains. And dyed too dark so you look washed out.

Late to the party I know, but IMO it's not too long, you're gorgeous and I love the fringe. Regular trims keep witchiness at bay.

Pink tips would be amazing! I love this girl's hair.

I can't pick up the pics with fringe but, I'd tell your mum, you're a big girl now and don't need her to make hair appointments for you, unless you ask her.

Of the pics I can see, your hair looks thick and healthy and shiny and ... What the heck is she going on about!?

I can't see a photo with a fringe!

Although I like the 1950s one.

Nah, Bunny thinks it's her natural colour but actually there's a secret rota of MNers who sneak into her house at night and dye it. Been going on for years and she's never noticed. Shame you had to out the plot.
