Will this fit the bill. Dull but seasonal?

I refused cake (beauty editor's freebie ) yesterday. An act which should surely have instant impact on the scales, shurely?

I've been quite lucky babysitting-wise. Last year I babysat for an aquaintance who was having a 40th party. In additon to her three kids the house was full of visiting "kids of friends" who were staying over, including a 5 month old baby. I pretty much left them to their own devices and they were good as gold (and I did get a few baby hugs).

Our regular sitter when we lived at our old house was very no-nonsense and strict, and the DCs eventually refused point blank to let me use her again after she made them sit and watch a whole episode of Question of Sport in silence because they wouldn't stop messing about. Call social services!! DD2 was about four at the time and still remembers it.

and yes, MI, it does fit... although a smaller size might have been better...

What on my feet? Heels? Boots? Will come in the night before, as I always have an epic fail when I try to come in on the same day for meetings.

I get it from my mother who broke my brothers kids of their bad habits in a night. She put them to bed and sat on the stairs and every time they came out she put them back.......

But have to admit ds just knew it wasn't happening so has never really done it...

So MrsS, does that mean that the weekend of the 8th would be good for you? Fingers crossed - can't wait to hear about AB's face when you get the job!

Do we have a Crepeys night out on Fri 8th? Or would Sat 9th be better???????

I must admit, I would prefer the Friday as my in-laws, although married for 60 years, have not yet decided if the summons is going out for Saturday night or Sunday lunchtime...... Not like haven't had a bit of time to think about it.....

But, Mrs S, being a Monday and Tuesday worker in London, I am around the night before your interview for appropriate preparation and a little jot of wine... so let me know....

My Zara cardies arrives today.... they are huge, they are XL, which normally from Zara can do on the comfy stakes, but huge... I look like someone in my mum's clothes....they are going back, sorry...

Yay for job interview MrsS. I would go for boots if you have nice ones that work with the dress, then there's no risk of laddering tights...

Herbs - re ds getting up - is he cold? I am from the unrecontructed granny school of child temperature monitoring and think that they are often cold and don't realise it. Ds2 flails a lot in the night and loses his covers and wakes up cold. In the winter he wakes FAR earlier than in the summer, despite the light. We got an extra 45 min of sleep from him after buying him all in one pj's or making him wears socks and a sweatshirt to bed. Ds1 was the same to a lesser extent. DD is super-heated and would cook in a onesie, so it does depend on the child. Also, haven't seen the 5/2 diet but I lost most of my overweight on the day on day off which is the same principle - you only have to be really good one day at a time.

MI - glad MrI is back with nice smellies. When do you get your week off chillaxing then?

Oh, and re meet-up, if there was a chance to do it on the 9th I could come, but don't change plans if 8th is better for others.

Have hideous persistent headache. May well be AF-related, but blasted heck - it's making my eyes go funny. Not helped by consuming quite a lot of booze over extended lunch for friends chez nous.

Very pleased by arrival of new iPhone. Contract ran out yesterday, got phoned by T-mobile offering me good deal on iPhone 4S, I asked if they had a white one, they said no, and it would take a few days for the new phone to get to me. This morning new phone arrives, and it's white! Marv.

BD and MrsS, where are yooooooo?

I don't think I can do either of those days, sorry. It is DD2's birthday that weekend and I think I will be required to provide a paaartaaaay.
