I have a house that has been devastated by D&V this weekend and need a little pick me up.

But please not acrylic.

Preferably also not black (looks at wan face)

I have seen some lovely pale gold somewhere, very flattering. Let me think. Maybe Zara? I'll have a look.

Sorry about the D&V, nothing worse

JuliaFlyte · 22/10/2012 10:29

I have just bought a black sequin jumper dress from Next but it's more of a tunic in length and style. It's fabulous. They do it in grey too. It has sequins scattered but not too OTT.

It comes down to mid thigh and the neck line is scooped but not too low. It looks really bulky online but it's not in reality. Def warm though. £30. Size down for a more streamlined fit. I am going to try the silver too.

QueenCadbury · 22/10/2012 11:55

I have the mango one and it's lush. Sure I paid £44.99 though and see it's a tender cheaper at the moment. Might be tempted by the black....

monkeysmama · 22/10/2012 12:07

I have the Mango one in the black and love it. The sequins are on a thin net panel which makes it flattering and means it isn't itchy either.

LordFlasheart · 22/10/2012 12:21

where do you wear these sparkly jumpers? In fact was just going to post a thread asking in what circumstances a person would wear knitwear and sequins, do you all have exciting jobs? Envy I like them but id feel an arse in the office tbh, and when im out in evening i am usually wearing my wine shrug and not in need of a jumper...

MrsCampbellBlack · 22/10/2012 12:33

Well I'm going to order the grey mango one and would wear umm on the school run, shopping, going for coffee etc. I'm a SAHM but I do like to overdress.

I've got a Wallis one with a chiffon back. V nice.

QueenieLovesEels · 22/10/2012 12:50

You just dress them down and wear them anywhere. I'm going to wear mine with a long jersey maxi in a tube shape and some slouchy boots.

ceebeegeebies · 22/10/2012 12:51

I have 2 sparkly jumpers that I bought last year from DP's. One is silver and the other is rose gold and they are very fine knit. I do wear them for the office with plain black trousers and a white vest top underneath - they aren't sparkly/sequinny but just more glittery so I don't feel stupid wearing them. They are beautiful Grin

therumoursaretrue · 22/10/2012 13:06

Flasheart I have been wearing sparkly knits everywhere, just with leggings or jeans and nice boots, big hand-bag and a scarf. They are a really easy off-duty look but i still feel like I've made an effort because they sparkle!

MaureenCognito · 22/10/2012 13:33

i can only wear once it gets darker - November onlwards.
I had a sloppy Joe type one from Warehouse last year in mid blue.
ace with jeans

VitoCorleone · 22/10/2012 13:44

I have to ask - what is D&V?

wordfactory · 22/10/2012 13:50

I bought this on Saturday.

www.mintvelvet.co.uk/winter-white-metallic-tabard/knitwear/mint-v/fcp-product/1930

It's got a kind of metal thread running through it.

QueenCadbury · 22/10/2012 13:50

I'm a SAHM and will wear it on a night out or going out for a weekend lunch type thing. I wouldn't wear it during a normal day simply because I'm at home with a 16m old and get filthy and it's probably a little delicate to wash too often!

MaureenCognito · 22/10/2012 14:02

How big is the jumper? I just ordered. They only had XL. Or m. I wanted. L. Mango normally tiny

MrsCampbellBlack · 22/10/2012 14:32

D & V is Diarrhoea and vomiting - 2 of my dc's suffering. And me suffering by association
