really really love duck egg blue (don't care if it's had its day)

problem is don't want to paint the kitchen bit that colour , it suits cream more

very hard to ask this without posting loads of pics of the room but does anyone have an open plan living space that is painted more than one colour?

You need to be in property & diy

noddyholder · 13/10/2012 17:42

You can esp if you introduce even a tiny bit of the blue in the kitchen eg a pillar or a small section of wall that is on its own iygwim.

MaureenCognito · 13/10/2012 17:42

i dont like colour on walls.
BUt in our kitchen we have a beam thing RSJ or whatever painted a mid grey

that is outlandish for us

I have had open plan spaces painted more than one colour and I think it works really well to define different areas. Don't worry about whether a colour is on trend or not. I apply the same rules to interiors as I do to clothing - style transcends fashion.

ggirl · 13/10/2012 17:45

hahaha , never wipe without matching andrex my dear
