In a mish mash of shite in a make up bag :)

dexter73 · 11/10/2012 14:44

I keep it in a make-up bag in the bathroom.

Pinot · 11/10/2012 14:48

In one make up bag?

I have alot of make up - daytime stuff, evening stuff, stuff I bought but don't use often, stuff I bought to replace stuff I'm using now, stuff I keep fpr kids facepaints... etc etc!

I'd like a trolley or a filing cupboard or some'at where everything is naicely labelled.

Is actually two make up bags! It's like you knew! One is enormous sack of bright coloured eyeliner/eyeshadow and now too old for (maybe), other is smaller with stuff I wear every day, or at least a lot. Is quite a good way of organising, I think. Have special occasion stuff tucked away somewhere.

Hopefully · 11/10/2012 14:50

Needing a filing cabinet is possibly a sign that you have too much make up Grin

Muji sotrage drawers and boxes. here

I have a drawer unit for eyeshadows, lipsticks and blushers etc. Then a box on top with six sections for brushes/foundation/mascara/larger items. Then one large box beside for moisturiser/deoderant/body lotion etc. If it doesn't all fit in these three units, I have to ditch stufff. I do have a place for "seasonal items" eg fake tan/sun cream/sparkly shit

Nail varnish is in one of those Clarins/clinique freebie bags. Hair stuff (inc hairdryer and straighteners) all in a shallow woven box in top drawer of chest of drawers.

FunnysInLaJardin · 11/10/2012 14:53

I have a table with a draw where most of the stuff goes, a pot for stick type things and the stuff I use daily tends to stay on the table. All my creams etc are at the back of the table. Perfume on the windowsill (because it was stripping the varnish off the table which is antique doncha know) and hair stuff in the bathroom. And I keep my overflow makeup which isn't used much in bags in a cupboard

dexter73 · 11/10/2012 14:54

I don't have much make-up:
black mascara
grey eyeliner
5 eye shadows
blusher
bronzer
primer
foundation
so it all fits in a small bag very easily!

Pinot · 11/10/2012 14:54

arf @ sparkly shit. Yup, I got that too :o

I have a special cupboard for it all in the bedroom and I have a makeup bag with the essentials that lives in my handbag .

Geordieminx · 11/10/2012 14:58

Beauty box off of Amazon

You will never look back.

UltraBOF · 11/10/2012 14:59

I've got a lovely roll top desk in the hall that was my Dad's (reminds me of childhood every time I look at it- dd1 and I keep all our bits and bobs in it. Make up in the desk part, hair bobbles etc in the little stationery drawers under the roll top, bigger stuff like hair dryers and straighters/tongs go in the main drawers.

I can't keep stuff like that to our bedrooms/bathrooms- it always ends up migrating downstairs anyway.

UltraBOF · 11/10/2012 15:00

OH MY GOD, I left a bracket dangling- that is going to torment me all day Grin

Pinot · 11/10/2012 15:01

for you Boffy

In a clear plastic make up holder thing from Home Bargains

FreeButtonBee · 11/10/2012 15:07

Glad you like. Also dead easy to clean if they get grubby - stick em in the bath/shower with a bit of washing up liquid and give them a swish. Job done. I may need to do this for the first time in 5 years

You do need to go into the store to have a play though to make sure you get the right size. They are also stackable although they don't lock together so need to be on a stable base. I also like that you can see the products and I put all the pretty ones at the front.

Longdistance · 11/10/2012 15:09

I have a set of drawers on wheels in my ensuite, that has all my make up in.

Then I have a make up bag for my everyday wear make up.

FireOverBabylon · 11/10/2012 15:15

on a shelf, high up, in my room after DS helpd himself to my evening face cream. Look daddy I'm making a mess and mummy's got to find £16 special offer for another pot

MrsBucketxx · 11/10/2012 15:17

mine are in two bags one i use daily and one full of stuff i dont use that much, i hate clutter so i woukd never have anything out anyway.

Pinot · 11/10/2012 15:18

YY I hate clutter. That's why my table is annoying me, being all gaudy.

Drawers on wheels sounds awesome. I could sit on the bed instead

Yep, definitely in a cupboard (sad fucker, me) well, chest of drawers actually, from Ikea. But I bung everything inside, not just make up. Waxing strips, hair brushes, creams, costume jewellery. Tis a godsend...

JemimaPuddle · 11/10/2012 15:27

I have a roobag. Can't link as on my phone, it is gorgeous, loads of slots and compartments. They do lots of different sizes and the prices are very reasonable.

LulaPalooza · 11/10/2012 15:56

which Beauty Box do you have, Geordie Minx? I'm thinking of buying one for my ridiculous stash of nail polish
