I have them in burgundy and olive. I would say they are more skinny than straight. They are lovely and I can't wait to wear them.

HoopDePoop · 21/08/2012 16:50

I have them in grey, they are lush. Size down though as they are big, I am a big bum size 10 and have the 26, which makes me happy Smile they are skinny but v soft and flattering with a medium rise.

ToastedTeacakes · 21/08/2012 17:18

I'd like to know too, and are the back pockets ok? Widely spaced, low or high, etc? It really annoys me when a brand won't show that back of a pair of pants.

dexter73 · 21/08/2012 19:03

Right I have just put them on to check out the pockets. The pockets are quite widely spaced - they sit to the outer edge of the bum cheek(!). The bottom point of the pocket sits on my bum crease at the bottom and the top starts in line with my hip bones. Definitely more skinny than straight. I hope that is of help!!

dexter73 · 21/08/2012 19:06

Just tried them on with my new boots that arrived today and I am well and truly hoping for the Autumn to be able to wear them both! They tuck in very nicely!

ToastedTeacakes · 21/08/2012 19:23

thanks dexter! :)

monkeysmama · 21/08/2012 20:07

What boots Dexter? What do you think about the sizing? I want to order the grey but am not sure what size to go for. I used to find their stuff reasonably generous but seems to have changed (like Reiss)

kickassangel · 21/08/2012 20:12

Can I just ask a question about skinny cords? Would it be OK to where them with Mary Janes? I want a slightly smarter look for work but not work trousers, so was thinking about cords, but not sure what shoes to wear until winter proper hits. Fall here can be anything between zero and 25 degrees, so I'd like a range of options.

Really don't want to wear ballet flats, and will save the boots for winter when there will be a couple of feet of snow.

dexter73 · 21/08/2012 20:30

Sizing is generous and they are very stretchy. I am a good size 12 and have got the 29. Boots are not exciting but I have huge hooves so these are them!! No mum boots comments will be tolerated!! (They are actually really nice though!)

Millie1 · 21/08/2012 20:33

I like those Dexter. Boots and cords!

dexter73 · 21/08/2012 20:36

Aw thanks Millie!

Millie1 · 21/08/2012 20:37

Meant to ask, how high is the waist on the cords? Thanks.

dexter73 · 21/08/2012 20:39

It is an inch or so below my belly button. Not low, not high just middle-ish!

MrsSnow · 21/08/2012 21:01

Thanks for that Dexter, what are the ankles like? Very tight?

OP posts:
dexter73 · 21/08/2012 21:10

The ankles aren't very tight - they come straight down from the bottom of my calf. They aren't flappy though.

SilkieChicken · 21/08/2012 21:22

If I'm a medium/largish 14 (but losing weight) what would I be in their sizing? I get so confused Confused

dexter73 · 21/08/2012 21:24

Not sure - maybe order the 30 and the 32 to try.

SilkieChicken · 21/08/2012 21:27

Thanks! I love the grey ones...

Millie1 · 21/08/2012 21:28

Thanks Dexter - think I will order but need to decide on a colour. I have a couple of pairs of Uniglo trousers - one pair is, shamefully, still waiting to be hemmed 5 months later, the others were their skinny utility/combats from last year and I wear them loads.

dexter73 · 21/08/2012 21:31

Maybe I need a grey pair too...

dexter73 · 21/08/2012 21:31

Or yellow!

ArcticRain · 21/08/2012 21:40

Would these look odd if you had to lop 5 inches off ?

HoopDePoop · 21/08/2012 22:13

Uniqlo do free alterations, I got mine on Oxford St and they did them there and then, took about 30 mins and they hacked 2in off the length. They are very long for any shortarses looking. Apparently if you buy them online, you can still take them into a branch for the free alteration service Smile

I'm planning to wear mine with ballet flats but eyeing up ankle boots - I'm not sure they flatter me, think they shorten your legs if you're not built like Miranda Kerr.

monkeysmama · 21/08/2012 22:20

I like those boots Dexter! Thanks for sizing info. Will order a 29.
