I really don't need anymore make-up, but have bought quite a bit, thought fellow mumsnetters might like a review.........

\link{http://www.benefitcosmetics.com\all from the "benefit" range available in Boots}
I bought:
Lemon Aid - fab stuff which brightens up the eye area
Brow Lift - wow, this is brill - you draw a bit just beneath your brow, it acts as a highlighter, but very subtle, gives you a wide awake look
Brow Zings - lovely eyebrow defining and shaping kit, looks v natural
Dr Feelgood - This stuff "mattifies" the skin - you put it on with the little sponge, sort of gives the effect of foundation but it's v light and conditions the skin
Hollywood glo - sort of pinky glowy stuff which you can use alone or add to foundation or creamy blushers - makes your skin look more lively

Boots has an offer at the mo too - buy 2 benefit products and get 500 points on Boots card, so I bought 4 items in 2 separate transactions and got £10 on my card

Also bought a couple of No7 lipglosses (like Lancome juicy tubes - just as good IMO)

Laura Mercier concealer is brill but quite heavy I find- all of the concealers I buy cheap/expensive seem to sink into my fine lines after a little while and I'm forever having the smudge it out of the creases - anyone else get this too?

I have the Boing concealer and it looks dreadful under the eyes - realy cakey. The sales assistant (a different one to the last time I was there) told me that they don't recommend it for under eyes and it's best for zits and around the nose.
Agree High Beam is lovely it always makes me look very healthy.

Oh I forgot to ask does anyone use NARS? - the eye shadows are the most amazing colours.

cod · 10/03/2006 13:34

w oman looked at me and said!" you can use ti fro fine lines too"

krabbiepatty · 10/03/2006 13:36

I bought a NARS blushery thing in a tube recently which is nice but I do what I always do aand put a bit on and rub it pretty much all off again...

krabbiepatty · 10/03/2006 13:39

Laura mercier also do a touche eclat type pen so if you bung that under eyes with the concealer on top, bingo no bags (or maybe the light in my bathroon is poor...)

meggmoo · 10/03/2006 19:54

expatinscotland · 10/03/2006 19:56

Lanisoh on those cuticles, ladies! Dr. Scholl's scrub 3x/week plus footfile. Euracin + Vaseline w/cotton socks at night.

Scruffy feet are just dreadful.

cod · 10/03/2006 19:57

we are talking eyes expat!

expatinscotland · 10/03/2006 19:57

Ooo, I found a good mascara at last! The No. 7 Lash Extensions one rocks! Read about it in 'Easy Living' and have given it a try. Great when combined w/lash curler.

meggmoo · 10/03/2006 20:00

Bloody hell expat, vaseline and cotton socks on my under eye bags...who the hell do you think I am....Nana Moon???

cod · 10/03/2006 20:00

arf

expatinscotland · 10/03/2006 20:00

oh, no, she was beyond StriVectin, poor soul :o.

Flossam · 10/03/2006 20:02

I've tried a vast number of under eye concealers, as I have major issues there. The best one I have found for a reasonable cost is Revlon Light touch. It's priced at about £8. Admittedly I get through a ton of it, but when I tried touche eclait it was no different!

bossykate · 10/03/2006 20:09

i've used touche eclat and a clinique one (concealer) and when they ran out recently i had to go to superdrug for emergency supplies! Wink i bought the collection 2000 concealer and am amazed by how good it is.

i like benefit too.

had a splurge at the chanel counter last w/e. vitalumiere compact foundation - brilliant. plus rectifiance (sp?) nuit - night/anti ageing cream. wow. this stuff is wonderful.

meggmoo · 10/03/2006 20:39

well talking good creams then don't buy Creme de la Mer.

puff · 12/03/2006 20:05

meggymoo - I love NARS eyeshadows - they are my faves - very different colours.
