Asda or sainsburys? Which do nicer clothes?

I know u r probably thinking neither, but I desperately need a few cheap and cheerful things before I go on holiday. Got to take toddler and baby with me so can't face town. Thought I'd see what the supermarkets have to offer. A quick supermarket sweep. But I can only go to one of these.

I was looking at asda online earlier and am seriously coveting a lot of it!
No idea about sainsburys as not one anywhere near me sorry

I prefer asda I think, but it's a tough call, I've got nice stuff from both!

Unfortunately sainsburys clothes aren not on line, but you can get an idea of what adsa have

Used to be sainsbury's but they have gone downhill. I was in Asda today and a lot of it is Autumn stuff now . Can you go somewhere where there's a few shops in case you can't get much? Also remember, they will need less than you end up taking!

Asda, they have good sales too.

At the moment ASDA are much nicer, I found clothing I really like for the first time in ages.

Sainsbos. Sale is fab in there.

I think id say Sainsburys.

Our local ASDA has a much bigger range but I find Sainsbury's better quality.
Sainsbury's seem to have improved their clothes range lately. Asda is cheaper but you get what you pay for.

Sainsburys definitely. I just wish they would show the collection online rather than just a few bits of that awful Gok range they also do.

Only problem with asda- is I know they have one of those car £1 ride things in the doorway which means I have to negotiate getting toddler past it on the way in!

For me sainsburys is a bit mumsy. Asda more trendy, throw away fashion Luke primark but not great quality.

I'd say Asda is cheaper but Sainsburys is better quality.

Do you have a Tesco near you? Asda can be very hit and miss, I've never been in a Sainsbury's but I do buy lots at Tesco...

Hmmm. Seems to be quite an even split! I might have to add up votes and see who wins it!

I guess I'd say the same as Fairyloo but from the other direction - Sainsbury's is like a downgraded-in-quality M&S and I prefer it to the primarkishness of Adsa, so it depends where your tastes lie.

We do have a tesco, bit its a longer drive and not sure how much clothes they stock in that particular store.

ooh those ride on things never work on Tuesdays because they have to work on Sundays. (the lies I tell my children!!)

I've been in both recently and I bought a nice short dress from sainsbos, ASDA is usually cheaper and more fashion forward but sometimes I think the clothes look v cheap... Then again Sainsbury's stuff can be on the frumpy side, even if good quality.

what sort of things do you need?

I'm prob looking for floaty tops with nice prints and tunics and things. So prob more primarky? So maybe asda better.

Sains used to have really cool designs more like H & M/ Gap prints, but they seem to have recently changed to more Asda-esque styling ie. tons of pink and slightly tarty stuff.

Tesco's also put most summer stuff in sale.

For holiday basics and fashion, Asda. For everyday, bit nicer stuff, sainsburys.

No, I would probably say Sainsburys for that. Asda is good for shorts/vests, and I think the fashion stuff is sometimes great- there jumpsuits have a great cut usually, not many places get them right. But sainsburys looks a bit classier but younger for tops and things- asda is sometimes a bit old.
