Vita liberates phenomenal self tan

Im thinking of trying this one.
Is it good?
Easy to apply?
How long did it last?
Also most self tan smells horrid or too perfumed for me so whats the smell like. I can see its really expensive for only a little product so do you think it's worth the extra money? Thanks

It is fantastic. I have tried the gel, which was good, currently wearing the mousse - use mitts to apply as it is absorbed very quickly...good for body, not for palms! It dries fast, no smell, beautiful natural colour and fades very evenly over about a week. I am a St Tropez fan also but this is better IMO.

flowwithit · 26/07/2012 13:56

Thank you that's good to hear I use the st too but I don't find it that good to be honest. It's not a deep colour on me, it smells, and it doesn't last more than 3 days. I would love to have it last a week much easier, be surprised if it lasts longer than that though.

Never heard of this one. What's the chat? Does it come in a choice of shades?
How expensive is it?

MissBeehivingUnderTheMistletoe · 26/07/2012 16:15

Mmm, I'm thinking of trying this but the reviews are mixed in terms of it's longevity. Might have to do it anyway.

flowwithit · 26/07/2012 16:27

Yes I found the reviews to be mixed too. I was interested because it has non of the toxic ingredients that are in others.
Anyway I have decided to give it a try so I'll post on here after.

I tried it and I have decided to only use this fake tan from now on. I thought it was brilliant and even though it is pricey at first - so far I have used it three times and I reckon there is at least another two applications.

I used the mousse. I also don't think it lasts as long as they say. But its good.

flowwithit · 26/07/2012 22:22

Great thanks giggle. I don't believe it can really last 2-3 wks but even 1 would be twice as long as the others for me so that would be good.

I was just looking at mine after the shower and it's been over 2 weeks and is fading evenly and still some colour could def go bare legged etc. no patchiness at all and completely natural looking.

MissBeehivingUnderTheMistletoe · 26/07/2012 22:32

Ooh, that sounds encouraging Noddy

flowwithit · 26/07/2012 22:43

Yes that sounds good. Hope I get same result then I can end my search for a decent bottle tan.

MrsRobertDuvallHasRosacea · 27/07/2012 07:45

Hmmm, i was looking at this the other day.
They do a fair skinned one.....I am very pale and can't go in the sun due to rosacea.
Might give it a go.

noddyholder · 27/07/2012 07:47

I used the light only one application and still good. No real smell and skin felt really soft. Hth

alwaysrunninginheels · 27/07/2012 07:58

I've used it a lot this summer and am v v pale but found the medium works brilliant. It doesn't last as long as it says but I find the colour excellent- st tropez and quite a few others just leave me looking "dirty" or odd coloured rather than tanned. Tis leaves me golden And the colour i would go if i was in the sun for ages. It's so easy to apply I have never had a single streak or patch. Yes it's expensive but boots has done 1/3 off offers on it. And as it does last longer than most it isn't as expensive per use as it could be. No smell either.

MissBeehivingUnderTheMistletoe · 27/07/2012 08:19

Did you all exfoliate madly before doing it? Does that make it last longer?

MorrisZapp · 27/07/2012 08:41

noddyholder, are you the ravishing redhead on your profile pics? Is so, then you look awesome!

I'm keen to try this now, despite it's odd name and high price. I'm pale skinned, so I'll go for the lightest option.

Payday today :)

noddyholder · 27/07/2012 08:48

That is me several ahem years ago .i am 47 now and dp is looking over my shoulder here saying I look the same but I don,t! The tan helps though. Grin

ShotgunNotDoingThePans · 27/07/2012 08:57

So, pale-skinned ones, are you using the 'Phenomenal' one?

Eliza22 · 27/07/2012 09:05

Hmmm... Quite mixed reviews. I couldn't justify that amount, on a self tan.

Having read the instructions, you really need to take "fade" precautions and I couldn't not moisturise after every shower. Sometimes 3 showers a day here, due to running/gym.

I think with my schedule, nothing's gonna last that long!

Sorry, FLOWWITHIT I think it was me that recommended the new st Tropez darker range. I still love it for its non patchy fade. Smile

noddyholder · 27/07/2012 09:06

I haven,t done anything special didn't realise I had to. Still scrubbing away innthevshower and using body lotion.

Eliza22 · 27/07/2012 09:25

I could have misunderstood but, it said something like, "warm, not hot, showers, no baths, no oil based cleansers or body moisturisers" also "apply first coat. Then reapply so many days later and again so many days, after that". Couldn't you do that with any false tan and have it maintained for a few weeks?

Glad it works well for some of you though!

NotMostPeople · 27/07/2012 09:46

I got it in Boots on offer a while ago before the Monsoon so have only just dug it out. I'm not sure it would last two weeks, but I did an application on Friday and then again on Monday and am looking most naturally golden. I'm very pale with red hair so have never had a real tan in my life and this is brilliant.

I didn't do anything special applying it other than using a mitt or since, just the usual daily shower and moisturiser when I can be bothered. It dries quickly too, which is the bit I get hacked off with - I have children that wander into my bedroom and then get grossed out when they see their naked mother wandering about so it has to be swiftly done.

noddyholder · 27/07/2012 09:47

Agree you need to be speedy but can go straight to bed/get dressed and just get on

cybbo · 27/07/2012 09:48

I think I'm over self tan. It always looks shit

I prefer a wash off one

noddyholder · 27/07/2012 09:52

I was til i tried this!

cybbo · 27/07/2012 09:54

Ack. I think Ive resigned myself to my melanin limitations
